Sarah Palin on 9/11 – A Report from the Goofy, Brutal, Leftist, Lamestream Media

Installment #4 from my evening in the Belly of the Beck.  Legal Eagle and I were on the scene, bearing witness so others didn’t have to.  My comments are in red. Everything else is straight from the mouth o’ the Quitter.

**********************************

How long has it been?  It’s going on forever! She just keeps talking.  How does Todd Palin not want to hurl himself off a tall tower or stab himself in the temple with a fondue fork?  I lean over to Legal Eagle and ask, “Is it just me or is she just screeching like a Harpie?”

“No. It’s bad,” the Eagle confirms.

Glenn understands that freedom is not free!  Freedom is worth fighting for, and that’s why he is out doing what he does every day, and I’ll tell you he is out there !  He is out there on the front lines getting attacked in a brutal leftist media world that takes their shots at him every single day.  He sort of reminds me of a lot of good Alaskans where he’s not retreating, he’s reloading.

I feel like the paint is going to start cracking and peeling off the walls. Why don’t they turn down the mic?  And how is it still possible she’s still doing the “retreating/reloading” schtick? I wonder if she’s written on her hand.

He reloads with information and the truth and he shares that truth with America every day, and folks I can tell you it is a brutal leftist dominated lamestream media world out there!

I ‘wooo’ again, givin’ it up for the brutal leftist lamestream media!  And that was another quintabulation of adjectives she used there, by the way.  Yes, I made that word up.  How dare you refudiate me when I have a mandation from The Bard himself?

What would we do without Fox News by the way?  (Insert your own witty retort here)  One of the things I love about Glenn is that he delights in driving the self-proclaimed media and political elites nuts.  He drives them nuts with his success and with his effectiveness.  Even his critics – deep down they’ve gotta secretly admire his amazing ability to galvanize everyday Americans like us to better ourselves and to peacefully engage our government.

Actually this critic deep down secretly feels horrified that everyday Americans become galvanized and act against their own self-interest without ever actually checking the veracity of what they are told, or the implications of what they do. But that’s just me.

And I say that they secretly admire this because his critics, they have just been wiggin out ever since that rally on the Mall in D.C.  First, the lamestream media.  They discounted the number of people there, right?  The Associated Press I think it was, they said “Oh, 87,000 people showed up for the rally.”  Well, that wasn’t too believable because you could actually see the pictures of the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people who were there on the Mall.  But they didn’t want you to trust your own eyes.

No, it was CBS News and they wanted you to trust the aerial images commissioned by an independent firm who calculates crowd size for the U.S. border patrol, the Department of Homeland Security, and others.  Here’s the link for those of you who actually care about how it was done. Those of you who’d rather have it be a zillion people just like you knew there would be, don’t bother.  Others, click HERE.

They want to tell you how many people were there, so then they decided to denounce the whole thing as an angry mob of racist, right wing wackos.  But that didn’t work either because people could watch for themselves and they could see that it was obviously beautiful and diverse…

I checked and she’s right. The crowd actually was pretty diverse.  Some wore flags on their clothing, and others wore flags as clothing.  Others just carried flags.  Practically a rainbow coalition – check it out.

It was peaceful and patriotic and inspiring and joyful from beginning to end.  And I know because I was there, and my entourage was there. My entourage. That would be my mom and Willow. OK? We were there.  So when the media portrayed the patriots who were there as “just an angry mob”  I thought “No!”  It’s like that new Teaparty inspired book that’s out there.  The title – “That’s no Angry Mob, That’s My Mom.”

So finally, man those goofy goofy media types, and I know they’re here tonight with their little flip phone things and they’re gonna be tweeting all night, you know, and taking things out of context. But hey, I’ve got your back and you’ve got my back.

I cheer wildly, and then tweet on my little Blackberry thingy “Palin warns of “goofy goofy media types” who are here and will be “tweeting all night.”. Ha!!  By the way you can follow Mudflats on Twitter HERE.  I got a notice the other day that Todd Palin is following me on Twitter.  I suddenly feel a little like Mike Wooten.  I’m way easier to follow though.  You don’t even need a snowmachine!

So what the media types were reduced to was just callin’ Glenn names like they always do. (Oooooo, what names? Beckerhead? The weeping fascist? Glenn Dreck? Do tell!) Pretty predictable and almost funny.  In other words… see folks? They gave up trying to engage Glenn’s real message of faith, hope and charity. (Hope? Hopey? Hopey changey perhaps?)  And that’s what that rally was all about.  We came together as a people to restore our sense of ourselves and as Americans, as an exceptional America.  And since the virtues that made us the greatest nation and the greatest worldly force for good on this Earth, Glenn pointed out you’ll see the name of God on our founding documents (except the Constitution! And they were all written on hemp paper by the way. Why don’t we start talking about industrial hemp? Didn’t God make that too?)  We entrust ourselves to him on our coins, so who’s going to stop us from meeting in our nation’s capital to say as a people united that our trust is still in that providential hand that has guided us and blessed us since our founding?  That’s what Glenn is doing.  They didn’t like it.  They don’t like it, but America loves it, and we love him, so Alaska give him a warm warm welcome!

And a great noise is heard, and the walls tremble and there are mighty shouts of “Hoo Hoo Hoo!” and “Wooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooo!” and whistles pierce the drums of ears, and hands are clapped together.

And Glenn Beck takes the stage….

More to come.

Note to Beckie and Paylin: If you appear regularly in a TV show being aired on a TV station which broadcasts nothing but “news,” and you are being paid boatloads of money for it, then doesn’t that make you a part of . . . the mainstream/lamestream MEDIA??????? Or is it like everything else in the world which you choose not to acknowledge because it’s an unpleasant fact – and you just pretend it’s not what it appears to be?

  2. David Beland says:

Hello, I’m new here. In response to the speech given on 9/11 that you have so thoroughly reported: I was lucky to be in Prague in spring, ’09. By co-incidence President Obama gave a speech on the castle square. Granted, I did not get up early to face the crowd and security checks, but I watched the broadcast later with my Czech friends. They were relieved, uplifted and optimistic as we talked about the new President of the USA. May it remain that way. Best wishes, David Beland in WA State

“. . .and that’s why he is out doing what he does every day . . ”

That would be: 1) pretending to cry; 2) spelling English words incorrectly; 3) writing on a chalkboard.

Geez, the left must be terrified.

    The Onion on Glenn Beck, read the entire article ..it’s worth it!;

    http://www.theonion.com/articles/nation-once-again-comes-under-sway-of-pinkfaced-ha,18076/

“By exploiting citizens’ greatest anxieties during an uncertain time in our nation’s history, the pink-faced half-wit has been able to promote his own vain, avaricious self-interests under the guise of standing up for the very disenfranchised people whom he himself is fleecing.”

Snider said most pink-faced half-wits eventually expose their nauseating, self-aggrandizing nature. He warned, however, that this is not always the case, and was careful to point out that the king of the pink-faced half-wits has, despite his hypocritical condemnations of drug abuse, weathered a very public OxyContin addiction, not to mention multiple statements of outright racism.

“Almost invariably, the pink-faced half-wit becomes so arrogant and self-important that he actually starts to believe the bullshit streaming from his fleshy hole and comes to think of himself as invincible,” Snider said. “If history is any indication, this latest ruddy, pabulum-spewing cretin will likely have a homosexual affair come to light or otherwise perjure himself in a way that will alienate all but his most fanatical followers.”

  9. Enjay in E MT says:

For those that may have missed the Palin/Missoula MT from earlier this week – her speech included “moles” of the lamestream media basically infiltrating the event. Thought this might be informative

snip] Lest the reader think that poor Sarah developed this attack the press before they can ask any questions as a direct response to her deer in the headlights interview with Katie Couric, I’m afraid such compassion is unwarranted. Palin has been using this tactic ever since she reared her head in politics in Wasilla. Perhaps she gleaned it off of Karl Rove or maybe they taught her this at the Republican Women’s Leadership camp she attended, or maybe she has the instincts of a Pit Bull in spring – but this has always been her strategy of dealing with the press. 10. beth says:

“One of the things I love about Glenn is that he delights in driving the self-proclaimed media and political elites nuts. He drives them nuts with his success and with his effectiveness.” — $P gushing over Beckerhead Glenn.

For some reason, she’s under the impression (delusion!) that Glenn drives the sane amongst our citizenry “nuts” *BECAUSE* he keeps speaking out! For some inexplicable reason, she seems to think ‘we’ are *against* Glenn *BECAUSE* he speaks out and ‘we’ are ‘jealous’ –or something– of his “success” and his “effectiveness” doing so.

Ummm- $P just doesn’t get it, does she?

$P can’t even figure that one out, can she? Oprah, for one, keeps speaking out — she’s a media (and social) mega-star and as successful as they come — she reaches millions around the world each day… Anyone see whole rafts and waves of sane folks being continually driven “nuts” by Oprah? Nope, I don’t either.

So, *IF* (as $P calls them) “the self-proclaimed media and political elites” aren’t upset by Oprah as she keeps speaking out (against/about) day after day, or shoot, the Dalai Lama, as he keeps speaking out (against/about) day after day, why the heck are they upset about what Glenn (and $P et.al) spout daily?

It *can’t* be ‘jealously’ — if it Were, those who could spit nails because of Glenn (and $P et als) “speaking out” would be *equally* spitting nails because of Oprah, the Dalai Lama, George Clooney, et.al, daily speaking out against injustices, skews, and unimaginable wrongs.

So what’s the difference? What’s the difference between the “success” and “effectiveness” of Glenn (and $P et.al.) and the “success” and “effectiveness” of, say, Oprah, the Dalai Lama, Clooney, or any of hundreds and hundreds of folks who regularily speak out DAILY against things that are fundamentally, undeniably, certifiably, and unconscionably WRONG?

The *Difference* is the *ONE THING* the Quitter Queen Does not, Will not, and/or Cannot understand — possibly even comprehend. It’s Sharing information with others that is: The Truth. The Whole Truth. And Nothing But the Truth!

She brags on Glenn: “He reloads with information and the truth and he shares that truth with America every day.” (And yes!, she IS reflecting that statement on herself! She IS telling rill Amurica that *she* does the same.)

She just does NOT get that what drives people with half a lick of sense totally and utterly BONKERS, is *not* that Glenn (and herself and others of like-‘minds’) speak out, it’s NOT that they are “successful” and/or that they are “effective”, it is that They FLAT OUT LIE Their A55es Off! They make up/manufacture ‘information’ and they create/manufacture ‘facts’ — they then blather out what they’ve imagined/created/manufactured/made-up and smugly, self-rightously, happily dupe the unsuspecting with it. Daily. For profit. And without shame.

Unfortunately, just because $P *says* Glenn (and she) *shares* “Truth with America every day,” that does NOT make *what* they ‘share’ truthful… sure, they share it, but it is FAR from truthful. And THAT is what drives ME nuts.

She is delusional, she is untruthful, she has no honor. She is malicious and unpleasant. And a liar of the highest magnitude. She is a dangerous, dangerous woman. In a word: a Bi+ch. beth.

  11. Krubozumo Nyankoye says:

Praise indeed for AKM and legal eagle for enduring this hatefest and reporting upon it, but we should not in my opinion excuse ourselves from participation. Instead we should undertake to create dissonance in the otherwise single wavelength mindset of the deluded who suck up this kind of swill like it was ambrosia.

Until we begin to jar them with the same kind of audacity that they are so fond of, we will be giving them a free pass. Make no mistake, this is a serious engagement. No matter what your sympathies in a political sense, if you are left of absolute dictatorship by fascist puppets, you will at some point have to act to preserve yourself. Now is better than later. I know I sound like some communist ideolog but that is not the case, I only favor a society based upon equality and justice.

  12. vyccan says:

Though it’s been said before, I want to add my own ‘Thank you, AKM and Legal Eagle!’ I admit I was somewhat curious to hear if their message would be pertinent to the occasion, but I didn’t think anyone I ‘knew’ would go. As you’ve indicated, it was a painful experience, but your service to your country/blogmates is really appreciated; it saved others from putting themselves in the line of fire. Thanks : )

  13. benlomond2 says:

…. I was smarter today ( I think!) I waited until AFTER supper to read all of this…….at least I have something in my stomach to hurl….which is better than last nite’s dry heaves !! 🙂

  14. Just reading her drivel made my head hurt. Bless you for actually listening to it so you could report to us.

  15. KatefromAK says:

I wish she didn’t say “LAMEstream” media as I am lame and must walk with a cane. Sarah is obviously making fun of lame people, why doesn’t she call it “Retarded” media or something equally offensive to her. Lame people protest!!

  16. Ruthonthelake says:

Mudflats –you are simple awesome. Keep up the good work—I am hoping everyone of these installments show up on ,at the very least, Huffington. JCs mom.

  17. Dagian says:

Thing 1 was given a t-shirt that has been worn proudly at school A t-shirt that would be completely over the heads of the Palin family. Maybe it can be the unofficial mudflatters shirt?

    Knowledge is Power.
    Power Corrupts.
    Study Hard.
    Be Evil.

I think $P only focused on #4–and frankly I think that is giving her WAAAY too much credit for foresight.

  18. Wolf Pack says:

It is really like Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus with Sowah & Beck being the freak show.

  19. SAM HALL says:

As said before but if more of the media would reprint this piece ..all of the pieces on what it was like
to attend this last…political rally and book sell event..under the sham of a 9/ll situation..that sham
alone was disgusting. The one with the most true and class was the one where M.Obama and
L.Bush together talked and with the family members who lost loved ones in there. check that one
out if you have not..and then compare with Palin Beck. Why the Mudflats piece should be reprinted
in much media and national..or on national tv.. along with the legal eagle piece on the constitution
is they are that good. National media situations would then help clear up ..who really is Palin and
Beck…the constitution that is so used by many Republican leaders of today..as a ploy to defeat
Obama ..Demoncrats very few people really understand exactly what the constituion of the USA
much less Alaskans in Alaska really does say. The legal eagle just so clearly explains this..for
    any and all of us.
This piece even the headline of this one..is just so good…the ability to describe what the
Palin Beck rally was like…and the great sense of humor used is just to good..for only those
in Alaska to read. The issues and what is at stake is as we know…really important and serious
then put in all the distortions..lies..etc . but this piece done so well great headline..many would
read the story with that headline even the people who swallow the distortions of some Republican
leaders and would be elected like Joe Miller..S.Angle ete etc. the great sense of humor just
adds the perfect balance to these serious issues…it then is so easy to see who is the joke..
Beck Palin..the mayor of Anchorage and Joe Miller..plus some of the leaders of the now
Republican party…so much is blamed on goverment…goverment must be small..when in
truth small is not the answer….right governement for all American citizens not just the rich
is the answer.. we voters are to blame is we do not find the crediable…lamestream media..
as Palin calls it so digusting wrong.. crediable talented as Mudflats and some others are.

  20. Winski says:

    Mud:

You gotta have nerves of steel… I can’t imagine sitting in that crowd, and listening to that swill and not vaulting out of my seat and screaming at the top of my voice ” YOU’RE AN IDIOT !!!”

    But I can wish, right??

  21. VoteNov4 says:

” feels horrified that everyday Americans become galvanized and act against their own self-interest without ever actually checking the veracity of what they are told, or the implications of what they do.”

Sometimes I feel sorry for these people who go on and on about needing tax cuts and reducing the death tax, etc. etc….are they just so stupid that they don’t understand they are not getting these tax breaks and that it is the media elites of the right and left, including Bible Spice and Beckerhead who are the biggest beneficiaries?

  22. Wow, AKM, I don’t know how you stayed through all of it. You’re made of stronger stuff than I am.

I just finished reading The Hunger Games trilogy. I have to say I see so many similarities between Palin and her style and that of President Coin, who seems to be the leader of the revolution, with all good intentions, however. . . There is something hidden in all her messages as well.

It’s kind of creepy when art imitates life, or is it life imitating art? Hard to tell sometimes.

  23. Lee323 says:

Palin: “We entrust ourselves to him on our coins,”

God and coins: Didn’t that combo set Jesus on a bit of a rampage when he threw the money changers out of the Temple?

    Excellent idea.

-Throw the money changers out of their Temples. Make them pay taxes like every other enterprise.

-Throw the Temples out of our government. Constitutional separation of church and state reaffirmed.

-Throw Palin to the caribou. The Great Spirit doesn’t appreciate blood under the fingernails of an unworthy hunter.

  24. anothercanadian says:

Thanks goodness (and AKM) for transcripts, I couldn’t bear to actually listen to that woman shrieking and spouting the same crap time after time. She’s obviously stockpiling her millions for the future (which is what this is all about, isn’t it) because she sure as heck isn’t getting anyone to write speeches for her. Between the same regurgitations in her speeches and her stupid tweets, could it be more obvious that she doesn’t write her own facebook material? That she doesn’t have two brain cells to rub together? Having read her California speech, I cannot believe CSUS didn’t ask for their money back.

I shudder to think that there is even the remotest possibility of this woman achieving any kind of elected office again, much less the Presidency, and I pray that she will go the way of Ross Perot. But you guys need to get with a different program – good heavens, when the woman has a microphone in her hands, its beyond word salad, she practically speaks in tongues. But you can’t persuade or prove to the 87,000 (or zillion) or any Palin/Beck zealot that they are being taken for a ride, so quit trying. The people who follow Palin are already ON the ride, they’re already goners. They drank the kool-aid. They’re ok with the millions that pecknpalin are fleecing them for. They’ve lost (or never had) the ability to think critically–to listen to facts, evidence, science or reason. They see no parallels between themselves and the extremists they condemn…and it scares me to death that your country could be heading towards a mindset, led by palin/beck, like Nazi Germany, where everyone who is not white and their kind of Christian is the enemy. Their Jesus is a blue-eyed blond, not a man from the Middle East.

This is a woman with no scruples who is using every gimmick she can, to make as much money as she can, before the ride is over – and oh, what the heck, maybe she’ll be the next POTUS too. Wouldn’t that be the icing on the cake. Imagine her in charge of the finances. Imagine her interacting her with world leaders, problem-solving in the world’s hot spots. Imagine her as Commander in Chief of the military–with the nuclear codes.

Everytime I think about Palin I’m reminded of that politician in Stephen King’s novel, the Dead Zone….the one used a child as a shield…the one who was destined, if elected, to spark a nuclear holocaust. What I hope to see happen (not much sign of it yet) is mobilization of the electorate to ensure that her extremism doesn’t become your political reality – this is not the time to sit on your hands, people. Campaign, fund-raise, mobilize, VOTE…not only at home, but wherever else you can pitch in and help to defeat neocons.

  25. Terpsichore says:

“So finally, man those goofy goofy media types, and I know they’re here tonight with their little flip phone things and they’re gonna be tweeting all night, you know, and taking things out of context.”

Praytell what would the first press conference of a President Palin be like? Will she just insult them? Not let them in except Fox and Fox-friendlies? Not answer their questions?

I cannot believe people who complain about being so burdened by this economy spent that good money to be screeched at, the same things she’s been screeching for over a year now. Did people really find it ‘inspiring’? Egads. They need to broaden their horizons a little. Maybe take in a nice Nilo Cruz play or go hear some nice orchestra concert with some seriously good musical masterworks on the program.

Question – did anybody hear any comments comparing Sarah’s speaking ability (and use of vocabulary) with Glenn’s?

    • Lilybart says:

She passes for a star of sorts and life can be dull in smaller cities and towns so a STAR coming to town is something to do for a change.

    • leenie17 says:

You want inspiring? I guarantee you’ll enjoy this a lot more than listening to the shrieking of the Wasilla Harpy.

I found this video last night on YouTube. It’s Leonard Bernstein conducting the London Symphony Orchestra in the Candide Overture. It’s long been one of my absolute favorite pieces of music and it’s hilarious to watch him conduct. He is so clearly filled with joy that it spills out all over the place, despite the fact that the concert was shortly before he died and he must have conducted that piece hundreds of times before. I especially love the part at about :28 and again at 2:30 where he’s just groovin’ to the music with this sly little grin on his face.

This is the kind of life we should all aspire to, where we find a little joy (or a lot) in everything we do. I can’t imagine living my life consumed with hate and anger like Palin/Beck and their TP followers.

I am a fan of the novel and the opera. This is a great remeinder that Candide believed, even in the midst of kidnap, slavery, and exile that “This is the best of all possible worlds”, and that he ultimately lived through it and came home to “Make our garden grow.” We all need to find a little Candide in ourselves.

      • Valley_Independent says:

Thank you for sharing this bit of fun. Voltaire’s masterpiece has long been a favorite of mine, and now I will think of this music and Mr. Bernstein when I think of it.

    ” quintabulation ” is SO a word! ( stomping foot loudly )

It means a group of 5 ….tabulated or added up in 1 sentence and strung together.
I knew what it meant the moment I saw it.
( furiously digging through the Urban dictionary flip… flip… flip..to see if it is there.. )

OK,… so it isn’t there…. But you can always Add it. ‘ RipleyinCt got ‘ tweeleted ‘ added before.
    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=quintabulation

I guess it’s a term that can ONLY be used in reference to WGE.
Because no one else would EVER try to string 5 adjectives together and try to have it make sense.
Usually used when She is trying to create a new ‘ mandation ‘… yu betcha

  28. BooBooBear says:

I went to both protest rallies in Anchorage…one on the Park Strip and the evening event at the convention center. I have to tell you it felt GREAT to be a “doer” instead of a “talker.” Thanks for going inside and taking one for the team, Jeanne!

Not in MY town $arah Paylin…not in MY town!

    • nswfm says:

Hey, thanks for being a doer up there! Every bit helps!

My sentiments exactly! Attending both was truly rejuvenating! Great to spend time with like minds and raise awareness that not all Alaskans are insane. My daughter away at college called me her awesome mom and hero” after seeing the pics–reward enough (with tears in my eyes).

Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of thousands?
Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of thousands of fools?
    I wouldn’t brag about that.

    • Terpsichore says:

She seems to repeat things, saying them three times as a matter of course – probably to pad out the time. Why work hard to write a very fine speech with good, inspiring points, when you can just strings together, and badly, old talking points and say the same words over and over and over and over again? (HA! Take that Sarah! Beat you at your own game. I said it 4 times!!!!!!!

    • barbara says:

what’s she’s doing is, she’s lying about that. one thing palin seems to have a deep-seated need to do is lie, even (or especially) when she doesn’t have a good reason to lie.

  30. deb says:

For all the mileage she continues to use Track in the military, has he ever been redeployed?

I remember her attendance in AK, while on the campaign trail, she returned to speak when he was leaving whether it was for training or actual deployment (Sept/08). I don’t remember when he returned so don’t know how long he was actually deployed, but I find it strange in that I thought that signing up was for 8 years.

I also wonder – Will Beck & Palin become part of the new RightNetwork that launched recently with Kelsey Grammer being an investor. Hmm???? There was a story on Huff on Sept 8th.

“RightNetwork, whose first series, “Running,” follows the fortunes of a couple of Tea Party-backed candidates for public office, is also trying a new model to establish itself. It is initially making programming available through video-on-demand services, the Internet and through mobile phones, bypassing the route of traditional TV networks with a spot on channel lineups.”

    • overthemoon says:

      You’re joking, aren’t you?

      • Lilybart says:

        Not kidding.

Sorry, but Hollywood is liberal because they tell stories, they need empathy and they need to put themselves in someone else’s shoes and see life from their point of view and experience. This creative process makes people more open and forgiving and tolerant, and yes, Liberal.

Good luck you cold-hearted money-grubbers, you will never produce anything like Mad Men or Entourage or any George Clooney movie or Bourne…….

    • SameOld says:

Track is in the AK National Guard. They deployed for a year. He drove the commander’s HUMV, was under no duress, and came home to do whatever. Other than showing up for monthly meetings, his obligation is over unless they redeploy. He is not a combat soldier. He is what is known in the military as PI (political influence). A judge made him go. Sarah made sure he was safe from harm.

      • Elizabeth says:

Thank you for the information. I wondered why he seemed to be back after a year. I thought a standard enlistment was two years.

        • SameOld says:

A standard enlistment is 4 years. If you go to get your college loans paid, it’s 6 years.

      • deb says:

Thank you for the information as other than hearing her usual reference everytime, I’ve not seen anything.

Acting against your own self interest:

At one of the parties I went to on 9/11, I had a conversation with a technical writer whose husband is retired Navy, and while she knows she’ll never make $100K, let alone the $250K threshold, she still said she was tired of “Obama’s socialism.” I told her, trust me, no one making that much is going to hurt like she would with a 3% tax increase. She kept complaining she was sick of it, even though she understood she’d never have that much money. At the end, I think I was able to persuade her, but there are people who would vote against their self interest, even if they aren’t complete idiots.

    Also, from http://www.truth-out.org/do-not-pity-democrats63204 :

These institutions, often mouthing liberal values, abet and perpetuate mounting inequality. They operate increasingly in secrecy. They ignore suffering or sacrifice human lives for profit. They control and manipulate all levers of power and mass communication. They have muzzled the voices and concerns of citizens. They use entertainment, celebrity gossip and emotionally laden public-relations lies to seduce us into believing in a Disneyworld fantasy of democracy.

The menace we face does not come from the insane wing of the Republican Party, which may make huge inroads in the coming elections, but the institutions tasked with protecting democratic participation. Do not fear Glenn Beck or Sarah Palin. Do not fear the tea party movement, the birthers, the legions of conspiracy theorists or the militias. Fear the underlying corporate power structure, which no one, from Barack Obama to the right-wing nut cases who pollute the airwaves, can alter. If the hegemony of the corporate state is not soon broken we will descend into a technologically enhanced age of barbarism.

Investing emotional and intellectual energy in electoral politics is a waste of time. Resistance means a radical break with the formal structures of American society. We must cut as many ties with consumer society and corporations as possible. We must build a new political and economic consciousness centered on the tangible issues of sustainable agriculture, self-sufficiency and radical environmental reform. The democratic system, and the liberal institutions that once made piecemeal reform possible, is dead. It exists only in name. It is no longer a viable mechanism for change. And the longer we play our scripted and absurd role in this charade the worse it will get. Do not pity Barack Obama and the Democratic Party. They will get what they deserve. They sold the citizens out for cash and power. They lied. They manipulated and deceived the public, from the bailouts to the abandonment of universal health care, to serve corporate interests. They refused to halt the wanton corporate destruction of the ecosystem on which all life depends. They betrayed the most basic ideals of democracy. And they, as much as the Republicans, are the problem.

“It is like being in a pit,” Ralph Nader told me when we spoke on Saturday. “If you are four feet in the pit you have a chance to grab the top and hoist yourself up. If you are 30 feet in the pit you have to start on a different scale.”

All resistance will take place outside the arena of electoral politics. The more we expand community credit unions, community health clinics and food cooperatives and build alternative energy systems, the more empowered we will become.

“To the extent that these organizations expand and get into communities where they do not exist, we will weaken the multinational goliath, from the banks to the agribusinesses to the HMO giants and hospital chains,” Nader said.

The failure of liberals to defend the interests of working men and women as our manufacturing sector was dismantled, labor unions were destroyed and social services were slashed has proved to be a disastrous and fatal misjudgment. Liberals, who betrayed the working class, have no credibility. This is one of the principle reasons the anti-war movement cannot attract the families whose sons and daughters are fighting and dying in Iraq and Afghanistan. And liberal hypocrisy has opened the door for a virulent right wing. If we are to reconnect with the working class we will have to begin from zero. We will have to rebuild the ties with the poor and the working class which the liberal establishment severed. We will have to condemn the liberal class as vociferously as we condemn the right wing. And we will have to remain true to the moral imperative to foster the common good and the tangible needs of housing, health care, jobs, education and food.

We will, once again, be bombarded in this election cycle with messages of fear from the Democratic Party—designed, in the end, to serve corporate interests. “Better Barack Obama than Sarah Palin,” we will be told. Better the sane technocrats like Larry Summers than half-wits like John Bolton. But this time we must resist. If we express the legitimate rage of the dispossessed working class as our own, if we denounce and refuse to cooperate with the Democratic Party, we can begin to impede the march of the right-wing trolls who seem destined to inherit power. If we again prove compliant we will discredit the socialism we should be offering as an alternative to a perverted Christian and corporate fascism.

The tea party movement is, as Nader points out, “a conviction revolt.” Most of the participants in the tea party rallies are not poor. They are small-business people and professionals. They feel that something is wrong. They see that the two parties are equally responsible for the subsidies and bailouts, the wars and the deficits. They know these parties must be replaced. The corporate state, whose interests are being championed by tea party leaders such as Palin and Dick Armey, is working hard to make sure the anger of the movement is directed toward government rather than corporations and Wall Street. And if these corporate apologists succeed, a more overt form of corporate fascism will emerge without a socialist counterweight.

“Poor people do not organize,” Nader lamented. “They never have. It has always been people who have fairly good jobs. You don’t see Wal-Mart workers massing anywhere. The people who are the most militant are the people who had the best blue-collar jobs. Their expectation level was high. When they felt their jobs were being jeopardized they got really angry. But when you are at $7.25 an hour you want to hang on to $7.25 an hour. It is a strange thing.”

I hope that this is rectified before too strong a hold is taken for the people like Beck and Palin, but I’m worried that it’s too late already. I read a comment on a blog yesterday from a Canadian that said something to the effect of “you waited too long to expose $P, now she’s taken hold and as long as she sort of looks like she’s answering the question, you may be looking at your next president” when she was spouting off some nonsense about economics.

One thing that ticks me off is that I don’t see the Democrats marching or people standing up and saying that they have benefited. I have said this once before but it seems like the Repubs get in a group and complain together. Where are the Democrats standing up and saying, “we think things are better?” Where is the march for change… we kind of lost our steam and expect the President to be a magician.

I agree with you but it seems like we have got so use to complaining about the Bush years that even the President is fair game for his efforts to date.

Oh no! The bitch answered every gotcha question from the redhead and pulled it off just fine. Americans, you have waited too long to destroy her. This is not the same woman that didn’t have a clue when she was interviewed by Couric. Palin has shown that she is capable of answering the questions with all the rightwing hatefilled talking points. If this bitch decides to run for president in 2012, I think you people who oppose her could be in big trouble!

Because: She’s got the good looks that are #1 for a candidate. She has the talking points nailed down well enough that she can escape from those who want to trap her now. All most Americans want to hear is ‘feel good’ rhetoric and are not going to be interested in the truth about her being a no-mind idiot.

My guess is that there is going to have to be something brought up that can destroy her from her previous record. I doubt very much that the faked pregnancy is going to be it because the public is just not receptive to that truth anymore. And that is ‘not’ the media’s fault in my humble opinion. It’s the fact that nobody is willing to attack motherhood. Or more correctly, nobody is willing to attack what she has fabricated to look like motherhood. Barring the good luck of a tornado sweeping her away or a heavy object falling from the sky and smashing her skull in, I think you’re lookin’ at yer next presnit.

    • Krubozumo Nyankoye says:

nswfm – I always appreciate your posts and this one is insightful in many ways but I have to disagree with you in one respect. It could be argued that if were not for Nader and the puny showing he made in the 2000 election except in Florida, we would be living in a very different world. Therefore I do not put much stock in most of his pronouncements and especially these because then and now he has claimed there is “no difference” between democrats and republicans. While that may be true in a few cases it cannot justify the generalization. Further it seems to justify the apathy of the majority democrats who are willing to sit out midterm elections because they are not satisfied with the progress that has been made despite the implacable, opposition and its relentless and loud propaganda organs. Just ask yourself, was there no difference in 2008? Where would we be today had McCain/Palin been elected then? I won’t go on about it.

It is quite true that the real enemy of democracy is corporatism per se and not just ideology, but it is also true that the corporatists, the 1/10th of 1% of the population that controls the lion’s share of wealth is very adept at manipulating and using ideologs to do their bidding. And we also do their bidding by lacking the discernment and the discrimination to see behind the mask. There is only one way to confront and overcome an enormous plutocracy, starve it to death. Just as Norquist so famously said he wanted to starve government until it could be drowned in a bathtub, we, the consumers, the real engine of the economy can do the same to the corporations who now dominate our entire culture and our daily lives.

How exactly we can accomplish that I am not so bold as to say that I know in general or in detail, but I have a few ideas. For one, we must get over the notion that government is inherently evil, government is the only thing that stands between the powerless and the powerful. Ostensibly we have the means to control it. But those means of of no use if we do not use them. One screaming example is simply the existence of this puppet in pumps who lies without challenge. But when she screeches about freedom of speach it would be nice if only one person in the audience had the guts and vocal chords to tell her she is lying. Then they will be thrown out. Good demonstration of how much she supports freedom of speech. Like Arlo Guthrie said, it might become a movement.
If ten people do it, it would start to garner some attention, if 100 do it could really begin to influence her. But to do so takes a lot of impoliteness and guts. Better guts than blood. But with these people, it might take blood. The thing is she is a hypocritical coward and unless people generally begin to recognize that, well… Murdoch will win.

To those who think she has somehow “progressed” beyond the know nothing cluelessness and
deer in the headlights shock of being confronted with real issues like supreme court decisions all I can say is you are drinking the coolaid, you are starting to accept that the unending propaganda
is true. It isn’t. She is not educatable. She is a puppet on the end of a single string, money.

The thing those of us with some desire for a broadly more equitable and just society must realize is that the powerful and rich elitists will stop at nothing to retain and expand their grip. It is our well being and our common good that is at stake.

Ultimately, if one looks at the wider world, they do not stand a chance. But despite our kinship with that wider world, when the contest becomes earnest, they will act in their own best interest and we who enjoy the priviledged place will be deposed and ground to dust if we allow the exceptionalists to continue on the course of exceptionalism. There is only one solution to the global problems we face as a species, cooperation in rational ways.

I think to some extent I understand your perspective and what you find persuasive in the rhetoric of a person like Nader. It is easy to be convinced by the mostly right but ultimately wrong. In my opinion, if we followed his advice and tried to pry loose a third element to confront the dominant politics of the US, it would lead to a dictatorship of idiots, like Palin. In the short term the only thing I can see that avails us, until we become more communicative and emboldened by distress is to work with the better angels of our nature and scorn the phoney self obsessed fools who hove to the interests of the minute minority.

I hope I have not offended by disagreeing.

          LMD –

You must recall of course that once we disagreed over the souls of dogs. But that is not material to the fact that we are really like minded about things that seem hard to understand.

That is in fact the essence of honest compromiise. If my words have meaning to you then it can be hoped they will also have meaning to others and thus will have not been in vain…

Each of us is endowed with the ineluctable certaintiy of the capacity for reason. Some of us choose to use it, and some of us don’t. We should be prepared to chastize those who don’t because their willful ignorance is the cause of so much misery in the world.

I am greatly gratified if your view of things is altered or reinforced by my own views, but most important of all is what you do next.. Take a position, hold it, and then attack your opponents at their weakest point. Their weakest point to my mind is their lies.

      • nswfm says:

Wait, I think I love KN.

The point of my posting is not to say that I agree with Nader, rather that we can’t get too complacent, nor to get too discouraged to work to persuade people, get out the vote and other activities.

The people who say they want her to run because the debates would be funny scare me that they would play games with elections, just as much as the crazy people on the right.

The teabaggers may be a small number, but by the media playing games with reporting news, the teabaggers get waaaay more air time than they deserve at the expense of real investigative journalism.

Our general discourse in the US is so completely dumbed down that some dingbat kid who her mom said was pregnant during the campaign is a “star”–since when does an out of wedlock pregnancy make anyone a star?

WTF has become of this country? I’m trying to formulate back up plans of where to move in case this country completely goes to h3ll by votes being screwed up in elections.

        http://www.bradblog.com/?p=8072

At this point, I wouldn’t put anything past anyone, particularly after the 2000 election in FL that started us on this awful trajectory.

And I was serious about my first statement, although LMD said it first.

      • Zyxomma says:

K, I doubt that your well-reasoned and informed commentary, on many issues, has ever offended the reasonable and information-hungry readers of this blog. There is much we can do, remembering that all politics is local *and* global. My advice: begin at home, right where you are. Here are some things I do, and I hope that others are doing what they can:

        1. I buy my electricity from an ESCO that generates all its power with wind upstate. Con Edison still delivers it, but unlike Con Edison, it uses no nukes or coal. It costs me a little extra, but it’s well worth it.

        2. I buy local, organic produce, whenever possible. I keep small organic farmers in my state gainfully employed and able to feed their own families.

        3. I consume no products of agribusiness. That’s right, no GMO corn or soy products, no high fructose corn syrup (difficult, but not impossible to avoid), no food-like substances disguised as nutrition.

        4. I use refillable pens whenever possible. There is one type of pen I can’t do without that doesn’t come in a refillable form (it could, and I’m writing to its manufacturer about selling such a pen). I buy these pens at a local stationer, where they’re displayed in bins without any of the cardboard and plastic containers that just add to the trash. Yes, they’re cheaper at Office Max/Staples/etc., but they come packaged in waste.

        5. All the lightbulbs in my home are full-spectrum (to avoid SADS) CFLs. I can only buy them in one place (actually, I haven’t checked Green Depot and they probably have them, too), but unless and until they’re stocked by the discount stores (yes, Home Depot, I’m talking to you), it’s worth the trip to Canal Street AND the price per lamp. Someday, maybe the next time I replace them (they last about seven years), I’ll be buying LEDs, which are even more energy efficient.

        6. I don’t shop at chain stores. I know there are many places in the US where the only place to shop is WalMart or Target, and I feel sympathy for people who live in such places, but I’m glad I live where I have options. I also don’t eat at chain restaurants, since I eat for nutrition.

        7. I buy many things used (or new, but previously owned). Websites like eBay and Amazon have made this much easier. My b/w laser printer/scanner/copier (I’ve had it for a few months, and it’s great) is Energy Star rated, replaces the toner cartridge and drum simultaneously (my bf is always having to buy new drums for his, but his is also a fax machine), and about a third of the MSRP because I bought it refurbished on the web. It’s small, quiet, and very well designed (black with rounded corners; I hate beige copiers).

        8. I use public transit. Okay, many if not most of you live where that’s simply impossible; you have to drive just to make a living. Understood. But how many car trips do you take that could be accomplished on foot or a bicycle? Many drives (to the 7-11 when you’re out of something, for example) are less than a mile. And I know many people (in SD for example) drive big trucks to accomplish what small cars could do, just for show.

I think I’ve mentioned before that I watch a little bit of Jesus TV everyday in order to learn a little more about the group think of a faction of the wingnuts. Well , this week is Praise-a-thon week and the griftin’ televangelists are just coming out of the woodwork to raise funds for the local network. The recurring theme is ” even if you think you can’t afford it you must trust in God and give because then it will come back to you tenfold. these are the end-times and they need a-fundin’. Satan is out there telling you not to give but you must fight the enemy.”

A slew of speakers came out and eventually, it occurred to me that I was listening to Palin blather. Not entirely the same talking points but certainly the same type of spew and many of the same words and phrases.

Their brains disengaged and they just began to let their cult catch phrases bubble on up n’ out to to the masses. For the most part, they made no sense whatsover. A few of them prefaced that it would be God talking through them. And this is when I realized that THIS is what Palin does.

I think she just starts talking and believes God has control of the words and phrases. It’s the “talking in tongues” mentality. She’s brain-washed this way. This is what they teach the kids in “The Masters Commission” in Alaska. Open your mouth and the truth will come out. Don’t analyze it. Don’t think about it. Just start talking. Unfortunately, this brain-washing is also combined with, as well as fuels, her toxic ego/arrogance. So, when she’s out there tossing word salad all over the place, in her mind God is pouring out blessings via her collagen lips.

I’m sure this has been talked about before but this was a light bulb moment for me. I’ve been taking a break from the news ( well, mostly) because this is the beginning of my busy season but I just had to check in to catch the AKM coverage of the AK visit. And glad I did !

    • Forty Watt says:

I hadn’t thought of that, but it makes a great deal of sense. “Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.”

Maybe He could do something about her modulation and timbre, you think?

      • BuffaloGal says:

He’d love to be President, and he’s a billionaire who self-funds every campaign. However, he’s Jewish, pro-choice, and about my height (I’m 5’2″), so I don’t think he has a prayer of gaining the Republican nomination. However, I would not discount his being the next Ross Perot.

    • Baker's Dozen says:

I’ve found that often people that want to or say they speak in tongues don’t speak any known language. But the whole point of Pentecost was that every hearer heard them speak in their mother tongue–the most understandable of all languages for most people. If everyone around you can’t understand you, you aren’t speaking in tongues. So that lets out Sarah.
It’s funny to ask one of her followers what she meant and to quote one of her phrases–like the money. If they do come up with some explanation, I just say, well, why didn’t she say so, like any other American would?

      • BuffaloGal says:

Exactly – This “speaking in tongues” that has been video taped at the Wasilla church seems to be a learned thing rather than a channeling of something spiritual. In the same way that they teach how to have the gift of prophecy, they learn how to speak in tongues. There used to be a video out there of the Wasilla “Master’s Commission ” school that some of the teens go to to learn to be “warriors for Jesus”. It’s a really disturbing look at how these kids are put through their final indoctrination / brainwashing. Unfortunately it’s been removed from the few places that I had bookmarked. This is the same Master’s Commission that Palin spoke so highly during her speech where she said that the war in Iraq was God’s will. Does anyone still have a live link to this ?

      • Lower48 says:

When I was a teenager, I was sent to live with my aunt and uncle in Utah. I was “defiant”. I know, now, that they went to a Pentecostal Church. My uncle also belonged to the Full Gospel Business Men’s Association. It was – surreal. When I look back on it, it was measured insanity. These people really, REALLY believe they ARE the “Chosen Ones.” And they will do anything – anything – to keep the thin veneer of Christ in Christianity, though it felt more like l was channeling something much more sinister.

The speaking in tongues… just incessant chatter. I was told at one point, after the minister placed his hand on my head and said a few words I was to fall to the floor and “babble.” If I didn’t, my uncle would be “shamed.” I did as I was told – I felt threatened – and I was told I was “healed…”.

I would not feel safe confronting any of these looneys without a small army behind me. They way the Palinbots believe in their goddess is the way I witnessed and lived in the Full Gospel “sect” (it was – and is – a sect, as far as I’m concerned). When they spoke to each other, it was always in the code language known today as “dog whistles.” Catch-phrases, double-speak and veiled / no so veiled references. Then again, we all know she’s full of “nuggets,” so anything is possible…

Would they do evil and rationalize it all in the name of the Holy Ghost? You Betcha.

Now, I’ve got some first graders this year who, in about 5 minutes, would reduce her to a twitching, whimpering mess, sucking her thumb as she curled up in the fetal position underneath a table, muttering “refudiate” over and over again…

    • Lilybart says:

If she is seriously bad, I think we should vote to make her stay and humiliate herself over and over.

The palins have turned me into a bitch!

This past weekend in Anchorage: 3-vehicle crash ends in melee with shots fired, a disturbance outside a Spenard Bar early Sunday resulted in six arrests and one man being tasered by officers, an argument escalated into a shooting outside a Downtown Bar early Sunday, and Glenn Beck/Sarah Palin event in town. Coincidence?

  36. Annie says:

“and I’ll tell you he is out there” truer words have never been spoken about Glenn Beck and the same can be said for Sarah. Out there far from reality.

  37. leenie17 says:

AGAIN with the ‘reloading’ thing??? Is she gonna keep on pulling that little nugget out of her nether-regions until one of her wingnut followers actually goes ahead and shoots someone?

And “I’ve got your back”…anyone who would turn their back on her for even a second after all the people she’s thrown under the bus deserves the knife that’s plunged into it.

What really gets me is the constant harping on how mean and rotten the media is. Does she have NOTHING else to talk about ?? (yeah, yeah, I already know the answer to that one)

AKM, it’s time for you to take a short sanity break. Get a nice biiiig glass of that white Zinfandel and put an ice pack on your head. Chant a little bit of ‘ohhhmmmmmm’ and think happy and peacful thoughts. Then go back to the previous post and look at that beeyooteeful photo of the mystery river and mountain and restore balance to your aura.

  38. Simple Mind says:

Why should any of this be surprising? Glenn Beck is what Sarah Palin wants to be when she grows up. Forbes magazine estimated his 2009 income around $23,000,000. He’s been #1 on the NYT Bestseller list in four different categories. He’s had his own TV show on two networks. He can actually speak in whole sentences with nouns, verbs and everything. Of course she’s going to latch onto him like a remora on a shark. Beck’s reported history of making fun of Asians, driving drunk in his deLorean or divorcing his first wife when she came down with cerebral palsy won’t interfere with Palin’s adoration of him – at least until he crosses her, at which time she’ll stab him in the back just as she has everyone else that she no longer needs. The difference, in my opinion, is that Beck seems to know that he is just a showman, a grifter. He’ll play the outrageous conservative schtick for the ride. Palin actually believes that she is on a mission from God, making her the scarier (and sadder) of the two.

    • Lower48 says:

      `

The Blues Brothers were on a mission from God too… but then again, they actually
applied the money to the church real estate taxes. Palin only supports Saint Palin.

Respect for Flag: The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker’s desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general. Standing ovation for AKM & Legal Eagle!

By the way, “they don’t like it”? Who is “they” and are “they” the same people she is talking about when she says, “who is going to stop us from gathering in the nations capitol”. No one tried to stop them, did they? She Is Insane.

Ooo, this is just plain elegant:

“I ‘wooo’ again, givin’ it up for the brutal leftist lamestream media! And that was another quintabulation of adjectives she used there, by the way. Yes, I made that word up. How dare you refudiate me when I have a mandation from The Bard himself?”

Heh – and she can’t even snivel that you’re quoting her out of context, eh? Full context, for all to see.

Shannon deja vu: “Suck it up, Buttercup!”

    • mwThatOne.. says:

love that quintabulation, also. Great summary, AKM. Hope you had tums with you.

      • Mudflatsfan says:

I hope that when she runs for President. That even the media that she doesn’t think is lame will ask her real questions. With the goof balls she is endorsing, they need to ask a “lot” of questions. And one of the first should be, “Why did you endorse these people?” My mom use to say, “be careful what you wish for…” Maybe some of her followers will understand that some day.

  44. Pat in MA says:

Kudos to both you and Legal Eagle for toughing this one out. Your comments are a hoot, and I love how every once in awhile to keep your cover you join in the woo woo-ing. So the lamestream media calls Glenn names. Ah, but it’s OK to call the President Hitler. Must be like the R word – it’s offensive except when Rush uses ‘satire.’ This was held on 9/11 and unless I’ve missed it, not one mention of remembrance of TRUE victims; those who lost their lives and the family and friends left with gaping holes in their lives. She is insufferable.

  45. white girl says:

Is she implying that those of us who don’t support Glen Beck are not patriotic Americans? As if he was one of the founding fathers himself!

I am appalled, really, that she didn’t once mention 9/11 or the American Heroes that died that day.

  46. manyamile says:

Sarah P:Fox commercial and puppet , bought and paid for.

  47. A Fan From Chicago says:

“We intrust ourselves to him on our coins” What does that even mean? Seriously, what the f*ck is she talking about? I know, it’s hard to ever understand what she means. But that sentence sounds like it was put together with those little refrigerator magnet words. How does anyone take her seriously? How can this continue. When will people say enough is enough. She is a total fraud.

    • OtterQueen says:

I think she’s saying “Money is God.” Similar to the line Beck is pushing with the Goldline scam. I love the philosopy, though:

“Gold is good. Money is worthless. Can I trade some of my gold for your money?”

    • scout says:

Pharisees, coins, “root of all evil”
      just sayin’

    • Attagirl says:

“Little refridgerator magnets ” !!! I love that…the perfect answer for all her word salad. Just slap them up and there ya go………………you betcha, also, too, foresooth and ramalamadingdong.

      • Paula says:

I’m just imagining her braking out magnets while debating her Republican foes next fall… she’s either gonna need braces or a back brace to clip ’em onto.

      • poesontherun says:

That captures her intellect perfectly! You can tilt your head sideways and almost capture the meaning, but it doesn’t ever coalesce into actual sense.

    • CO almost native says:

I think she is referring to “In God We Trust”, which was added in the 1950s– due to the communist-under-every-bed conspiracy. Of course Half-Twit probably believes it was promoted by the Founding Fathers (most of whom were deists or Unitarians), and that our currency hasn’t changed since the Revolutionary War. sheesh.

      • A Fan From Chicago says:

Same thought occurred to me a few minutes ago. Wouldn’t a “normal” person say, “Well heck, it even says ‘In God We Trust’ on our coins.” But not our Sarah. To paraphrase the old geometry phrase – the longest distance between two points is a Sarah Palin sentence construction.

        • beth says:

The phrase got onto the coins about the time of the Civil War: http://www.ustreas.gov/education/fact-sheets/currency/in-god-we-trust.shtml

          Too, also, from the link:
“A law passed by the 84th Congress (P.L. 84-140) and approved by the President on July 30, 1956, the President approved a Joint Resolution of the 84th Congress, declaring IN GOD WE TRUST the national motto of the United States. IN GOD WE TRUST was first used on paper money in 1957, when it appeared on the one-dollar silver certificate. The first paper currency bearing the motto entered circulation on October 1, 1957.”

[NOTE: the ’50s timeframe…G-dless Commies lurking about under every bed and waiting with eager anticipation for the chance to take over our government, and all. Gaaak! And how incredibly sad the mucky-mucks of the day were so lacking in confidence that our Democracy *would* survive ALL assaults against it, that they felt the overwhelming need to create a “national motto” for citizens to rally around. Double Gaaak! I’m sure the Founding Mothers and Fathers are still spinning in their graves over *that* piece of intruding G-d into matters of State. ] beth.

Sometimes when I read what she says, it makes me scratch my head. It is like some type of new language. Are you sure she is from Alaska? Perhaps we need to see her birth certificate. Bad joke, just kidding. There is too much of that (where are you from) going around. Diversity is so beautiful. I wouldn’t know which country to go back to… Thank heavens I can see tolerance from my porch.

  48. Lower48 says:

    • vyccan says:

That’s my question too. I was planning to read all comments first, before asking AKM if she ‘forgot’ {{ ; ) }} to include the parts of Mrs. P’s introduction that focussed on the 9/11 act etc. etc? Extremely, repeatedly, unbelievably and nauseatingly egocentric is the ex-governor! [Does quintabulation count if one combines adjectives and adverbs? ; )

Todd keep your wife in line.

Their flag is a new symbol of hate.

I would advise people to google “Jezebel” and see what you find.
