Shannyn Moore On The Thom Hartmann Program! (Live Blog)

Our very own Shannyn Moore will be hosting The Thom Hartmann Program today, Thursday, September 16. Thom is winging his way cross-country and asked Shannyn to fill the coveted slot in his absence.

For those of you who have been living in a cave where radio signals do not penetrate, Thom Hartmann is the number one progressive radio talk show in the nation, broadcasting from New York to Los Angeles and more than 100 other markets in between. He also broadcasts on Sirius satellite radio, and is simulcast on Dish Network/Direct TV/Free Speech TV, reaching over 60 million homes in the U.S. She’ll even be heard in Africa and the U.K.!

We’re busting our buttons here at Mudflats Central, and we’ll be going back to our old tradition of giving you a platform to live blog the show tomorrow morning. The show will be live from 8am-11am in Alaska (Noon-3pm Eastern, 9am-Noon Pacific) You can stream it live HERE.

Call in at 866-987-THOM

And no worries – Shannyn will still be doing three hours of The Shannyn Moore Show which you can hear at KUDO 1080am, or stream it at  That’ll be right after she finishes up with The Thom Hartmann Program.  Yes, that’s six hours of live radio…  I’ll be on the final hour for my usual segment Thursdays in the Mud from 1-2 Alaska time.  I have a feeling I may be doing more talking than usual.

Use the comments to leave Shannyn a message, live blog or chat!

First Hour

Shannyn talked to Chris Hayes of The Nation about Elizabeth Warren, and what she actually may be doing or not doing regarding her leadership or not of the consumer agency she envisioned.  Another compromise…

And what’s up with the shiny new Palin in Delaware? Christine O’Donnell is “master of her domain.”

Second Hour

Markos Moulitsas talks about his new book The American Taliban and his predictions for November.

Wanted to alert all your readers about proof that Palin either lies or she has broken the law. The Alaska Fish and Game Department confirmed yesterday that Palin doesn’t have a hunting license, and that she did not have a license in 2008 and 2009. Thanks, Malia Litman

Where do people comment on “Thursdays in the Mud?” It’s my favorite thing. Shannyn and Jeanne work very well together.

  3. Blooper says:

Shannyn, you were great as Thom’s guest host! I hope that you are able to host his show again. (And major props for having the cojones to do the show in front of a national audience. If I had to do that I would have been s******g bricks! (for lack of a better term).

  4. Kelly says:

I am an alaskan and the point she makes about how money goes further there is very important.

  23. benlomond2 says:

Rush Huck and Beckerhead…..wouldn’t it be an interesting thing to see which ones avail themselves of medicare and SS when they get of age……..

    • Mudflatsfan says:

LOL. Hence why they are cashing in now like crazy… If a Repub gets in there, the cash will be copper instead of gold.

      • Mudflatsfan says:

Off topic, but isn’t Christine O. look like Palin 2.0

        • Blooper says:

Yes, she does! I was thinking that very thing this morning. I shall call her ‘Mini-Sarah’.

          • Mudflatsfan says:

Makes you wonder if all of these Republican candidates are thinking,
“If she can do this and make a ton of money, I can do this in a heart beat and make more.”

Just listening to a reporter talk about the women power surge of females. Considering their motivation, there will be a ton of women in that party coming to out- do the momma grizzly.

Where are the Dems, come on gals.

          • Blooper says:

I agree, there seems to be a new sort of $P ‘wanna be’ class out there comprised of both women and men. I could see $P in one of those 3 A.M. informercials shouting “If I could do it, so can you!”.

    • Laurainnocal says:

Today I read the term ” the Donner Party”. Is that the best or what? Eat your own!

  24. jwa says:

Actually, I DO live in a space/time wrinkle where progressive radio signals do not penetrate. It’s called Nebraska. I’m hopeful that there is an electromagnetic vortex swirling somewhere overhead, storing up all those captured radio waves. One of these days (any day now I’m sure) this vortex will release a focused energy beam of pure progressiveness aimed at Rush, Huck, and Beck. They will wake up not knowing what hit them and suddenly get an irresistible urge to vote Democratic. Being unfamiliar with the feeling, they won’t know what to do and their heads will simultaneously explode.

    Ah well, I can dream, can’t I?

  25. Kelly says:

Sorry Mud…you already covered the Free Speech TV part…WOOT WOOT!!!

  26. Kelly says:

Thom Hartmann is also broadcast on Free Speech TV and XM Satellite radio…WOOT WOOT!!!

  27. leenie17 says:

Woo hoo, Shannyn!!! Better eat those wheaties, girl!

  28. UgaVic says:

    Great…will tune in!!!
