D Student in Economics Knew it All Along – the Wit and Wisdom of Sarah Palin

~Sarah Palin, the future financial prophet, in college. Her economics themed attire reads:

“I may be broke, but I’m not flat busted.”

Yes, those fancy spectacles that may or may not have prescription lenses certainly gave the former governor 20/20 hindsight. You see, she predicted the United States’ credit downgrade all along. Yes, she did. Alaska’s half-term fiscal prognosticator knew it the whole time.

She used her favorite social media tool, her Facebook page, to deliver the lengthy “Told Ya So!” to the nation about Standard and Poor’s smack down that took the nation from a AAA to a AA+ rating.

“I’m surprised that so many people seem surprised by S&P’s decision,” she said with surprise. I think I speak for more than just myself when I say I’m surprised that she’s surprised that so many people seem surprised.

She went on to quote herself from December, 2010 stating that “Sooner or later, the markets will expect us to settle the bill for the enormous Obama-Pelosi-Reid spending binge.” Of course, no mention of the enormous George W. Bush spending binge that got us in to two wars we can’t afford, while simultaneously giving tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans, or the dimwits in Congress that held out on raising the debt ceiling, and actually increasing revenue. But it sounds really good if you have no idea what you’re talking about, or don’t care.

“One doesn’t need a Harvard Law degree to figure this out! ” she went on to jab the president. And one doesn’t need a communications degree from the University of Idaho to figure out that you don’t need a law degree to understand economics in the first place.

Her insightful words of wisdom continued when she reminded us that “there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Didn’t we all learn that in our micro and macro econ classes? I did at the University of Idaho. How could Obama skip through Columbia and Harvard without learning that?”

Here, let us pause to rub our eyelids and absorb the ex-half-governor’s comments. If she learned “there’s no such thing as a free lunch” in her economics class at the University of Idaho, it is perhaps one of the few things she did learn.

Back in July of 2006, during her gubernatorial campaign, she emailed a staffer about the “skeletons” in her closet that she felt the other side might be looking for. There were three. One was yelling at the wrong kid for not taking out the trash. The second was doing campaign business from her Wasilla mayor’s office. The third was getting a D in college in… (wait for it)… macroeconomics.

The revelation of these three things apparently struck fear in the young gubernatorial wannabe. Not getting pregnant out of wedlock, not rumored extramarital affairs, not her family’s obsessive stalking of the ex-brother-in-law and state trooper, not being a tax cheat and never paying property taxes on the family cabin, not whatever it was that kept her from revealing her medical records. Nope, it was the disgraceful grade in economics that she would have us believe was likely to be used by the opposition to take her down.

She repeated the story about the D grade being a “skeleton” in her book Going Rogue on page 112… only she left out the fact that it was economics, and the bit about doing campaign business from the mayor’s office. It might be embarrassing, we suppose.

“Look, I got a D in a college course once, and I yelled at the wrong kid this morning for not taking out the trash,” I said. “You got me. Those are the skeletons.”

In the light of all this, I’d say bringing up and lauding her own anemic economics cred shows real… what’s the word? CHOOT-spa.

To blame the Tea Party congress for this downgrade is “shamelessly cynical and dishonest,” Palin went on to say. How can anyone blame ” the very people who have been shouting all along “stop spending”? (Hint – they were the ones shouting “stop paying the bills we’ve already got”)

The post goes on to make an analogy about Nero fiddling while Rome burned, the fiscal house going up in smoke, and about how she and other “commonsense” conservatives were going for fire extinguishers, but politically correct people were burying their heads in the bonfire. After torturing that analogy until it screamed, she went on to my favorite part – how Shakespeare himself could have written a play about her sagacity and awesomeness.

Shakespeare couldn’t come up with a better plot. But how in the world did Mrs. Palin, who is supposed to be so thick, manage to figure all this out so far ahead of the New York Times and all the economists it talked to?

Another class the young Sarah Palin attended taught her a different valuable economics lesson, we learn.

The Weimar Republic inflated its currency so much that it took a wheel barrel full of paper money to buy a loaf of bread. That might be the main thing I remember from Mr. Crum’s history class at Wasilla High, but it told me all I needed to know about the inflationary dangers of a weak currency and why we must avoid it. What a shame Mr. Crum didn’t teach at Harvard.

A shame indeed. This valuable lesson and deep insight into the inflationary dangers of weak currency would have set those smarty pants academic elites back on their heels. I smell Nobel Prize.

The endless Facebook note evolves into an all-out campaign stump speech talking about how we don’t need that solar energy and high speed rail (“really fast trains”), but we do need to drill baby, drill; smack down the EPA, repeal Obamacare, give big business what it wants, abolish all those pesky regulations, and give the private sector “room to breathe.”

The whole thing continues to rise and swell like the finale of some flag-waving patriotic orchestral work, until the great finish!

We are the heirs of those who froze with Washington at Valley Forge, who held the line at Gettysburg, who freed the slaves, carved a nation out of the wilderness, and allowed reward for work ethic. We are the sons and daughters of that Greatest Generation who stormed the beaches of Normandy, raised the flag at Iwo Jima, and made America the strongest and most prosperous nation in the history of mankind. By God, we will not squander what has been given us!

If you aren’t saluting or crying by this point, you’re not a real American. One can almost imagine Mrs. Palin proudly holding her report card with the technically passing grade aloft, and steering the ship of state across the frozen Delaware River with Mr. Crum beside her at the tiller. Our economic future is in your hands, Mrs. President.

And that would be liberals right? Yet here these Conservatards are like a decade late to the party and now they want to bitch about spending that occured during Bush and the Republican do-nothing (other than increase debt) Congress and do all they can do to shift the blame away from those who were at the root of the debt madness.

But blame they do. Always somebody elses fault…never theirs.

    These fuckerz are fools.

“Delusional disorder, previously called paranoid disorder, is a type of serious mental illness called a “psychosis” in which a person cannot tell what is real from what is imagined.” by Chairmanmeow
    _____________________________________________________________________

It seems Sarah’s form of mental illness is not paranoia but more on the lines of a Borderline Personality Disorder, which includes goodies such as

    -narcissism to the max

-an overblown sense of her own importance (which is nil)

-and of being unable to empathize with others.

  3. Chairmanmeow says:

Found on the WebMD site. Sound like anyone we know?

“Delusional disorder, previously called paranoid disorder, is a type of serious mental illness called a “psychosis” in which a person cannot tell what is real from what is imagined.”….

    • Krubozumo Nyankoye says:

Chairmanmeow, very cute name. To your point though I would have to say that psychotic schizophrenics are actually suffering from a biological disorder. It is not easily treated and drugs are not a panacea. Such unfortunate people deserve our attention and help. I can’t agree that Palin can lay claim to such. All the evidence I have seen points to the conclusion that she is an incorigible egotist bereft of any sense of scruple or morality. Greed is her creed. She does not deserve any excuse.

  4. Irishgirl says:

If Palin gets in Perry’s way, things could get very interesting.

    • OMG says:

I almost want her to run only to have her defeated (badly) in the primaries. On the other hand, I don’t want her to run because I don’t trust the American electorate to do what is sensible (in defeating her)…just look what they did in the mid-terms which empowered the Tea Party.

Voters proved that they often vote against their own best interests, instead voting out of frustration or anger based on the emotions of the moment. Remember it was the voters of the US who put that fellow in the WH for two terms…the one who nearly destroyed the world’s economies after attempting to destroy other countries through unnecessary wars? Remember in 2010, when the voters grew frustrated with the economy, they replaced moderate members with tea party extremists who would rather see the destruction of the US than allow President Obama to win a second term?

      • Krubozumo Nyankoye says:

I would agree with you OMG but for one detail. I think the failures of governance we have seen recently are a result of a lack of participation by the electorate. The nutjobs that were elected in 2010 made the grade because far too many people stayed away from the polls. They thought they had more important things to do. Or they were simply fooled into thinking that their vote wouldn’t matter. That is why propaganda is useful, it can fool a lot of people into thinking that they don’t matter.

It is quite true that the majority of the dedicated fanatics who voted for these radical know-nothings indeed voted against their own best interests, what is much more important is that the majority of voters did not bother to vote. Yes the reality is that the republicans – despite their absurd claims about being the only true americans, patriots what have you, are actually about as bought and paid for as anyone can get. Investigate ALEC for some perspective. Their sole advantage, however, is the apathy of the real majority.

An example just for purposes of discussion. If the actual turnout for an election is 40% of the registered voters, then whomever gets elected was chosen by something slightly over half of that, let’s be generous and say the margin of victory was 2%. That means 22% of the eligible voters determined the result. Let us go one step further and say that on the right wind side the turn out of eligible voters was 60% and on the left wing side something like 45%. Do the math. A majority of a minority won an election in which a majority of the majority failed to take part.

Presidential elections bring out a wider cross section of the electorate. But when compared to other democracies, out participation in government is fairly pathetic. 70% is a very high turn out. So long as that is true, we will be at constant risk of repeating the same kind of blunders that since the middle of the last century, have led us to this impasse.

  5. OMG says:

The wise one will now shed light on what God has determined the direction for the country should be as she comes down from the clouds (after their meeting) to join real Americans at the Iowa State Fair (just in time to disrupt the Ames straw poll by including herself in the news of the day).

After she grabbed headlines and disrupted Romney’s announcement, you’d think even conservatives would tire of her shenanigans.

  6. beth says:

$arah’s obvious envy and jealousy of Obama are so painful to see paraded around in public; she makes it nigh on to impossible to miss, though. Every time I come across another one of her displays, I feel as if I’ve just witnessed something mentally unstable that ought not be seen. Like catching a glimpse of the town’s incorrigible exhibitionist doing their thing. beth.

  7. Krubozumo Nyankoye says:

In my view Palin was a threat for a while. When she was embraced by the Murdoch machine and given a free pass to pontificate her mindless drivel and be well paid to do so that posed a threat. Sadly for Sarah her incredibly overblown ego even managed to alienate her from her handler/benefactors and now she is trying desperately to keep her scam alive for a while longer. At some point even Faux Noise is going to discard her because she will become a liability. She will eventually go away, like a fading case of flu. It might take a few years to reach utter extinction, but the course is already well established.

There was a time in my life when I felt a certain sympathy for people who were like her. I thought they were woefully misguided and had been ill-served by their educations. I was overly generous. Some people are unscrupulus, Palin is one of those people. She will do anything to enrich herself, she has no concern for the consequences of her actions, and she is utterly deluded and sincerely believes she has been chosen by the great pixie in the sky to save amerika from something or other. In the simplest possible terms she is a nut. It turns out she is also a somewhat rotten nut.

The greater and more imposing issue is that corporatism and moneyed interests are now trying to usurp the rule of law. They think they should be able to operate above the law. It is time for government to assert itself and put them in their place. In many many instances, that place is the dock, we will have to endure the onslaught of regressive and insane passions for at least another year before we might see the flowering of a no holds barred effort to roll back the insanity. There is nothing else to hope for.

  8. AKPetMom says:

Palin is a moron and a has-been. On NPR’s political junkie segment today she barely got a mention during the Iowa straw poll segment. But hey, she’s takin’ off in her bus again and askin’ for some dollars to do so, so that means that a bunch of Americans that can’t feed their kids without foodstamps will be sending her their last bits of piggy bank. Let them do that, and let us expose her for the know-nothing that she is. When these children grow up and find out that they have serious health issues because their parents gave their food money to Palin, then we’ll have a discussion. Oh, wait, those kids will have extended health care benefits beginning in 2014, thanks to Obamacare (well, not really awesome benefits, but they will be able to get on the public assistance health and food benefit programs easier if there was no Obamacare.)

  9. Baker's Dozen says:

    I’m just wonderin’

Do you think Obama spread out his college homework on his bed and kinda attacked it sorta with a bic pen?
Why does this pic remind me of the beginning of “Legally Blonde?” I somehow expect a feathered pen and heart shaped note pad.

  10. JRC says:

As someone who’s family came here in 1632, I have to say…I’m one of the heirs. I’m not saying that Congress or the WH is doing a good job right now. But Palin? She’s like the company intern who thinks that because she overheard a conversation while delivering coffee to the board room that she actually THOUGHT UP that brilliant idea.

    WTF-ever.

  11. Ok, I admit it – I’m not a rill American. All that last rant did for me was evoke a gigantic eye roll.

I never took econ. It just wasn’t a course that fit in my schedule or interested me. But I’m convinced that I understand it a lot better than Miss Economics D.

Hubby commented the other day that SP seems to have dropped out of sight. At least there is less of her if one avoids her facebook page (I was banned a long time ago) and Faux. I’m not so convinced that she is really gone. Especially after this sort of post.

    • LibertyLover says:

She’s gassing up the RV for a trip to Iowa this weekend to spoil some other kids’ (that are running for Prez) fun.

  12. Mo says:

Y’all gotta read this little real-life example of teabagger economics, brought to you by Hullabaloo. Or, why a realistic outlook is not an option with this enemy. Juicy reading.

    “No, they will never learn”

“In case anyone was wondering if there would come a point at which basic reality would send a wake-up call to blinkered Tea Party conservatives, you have your answer in the Great State of Texas. Specifically, the town of Kemp, population 1,133”

  13. Dis Gusted says:

in 1970, there were 60 companies rated AAA – today there are 4.

The US rating of AA+ is still better than China’s rating. As Warren Buffet said when his company lost it’s AAA rating years ago – “it’s still AAA in my mind”.

  14. Lacy Lady says:

just heard on CNN that SP is coming to the Iowa State Fair. Wow!!! Now that all the Rep canidates are comeing maybe we should change the name of our Fair?
There will be a “cast your kernel” at the WHO news booth. People will place a kernel in a jar to “vote” for their canidiate. WOW—–do you think maybe someone will cheat???
Maybe have their picture taken with a big hog????
Think I will skip the fair this year.

  15. Cassie Jeep says:

Oh, I do love it when you issue a smackdown!

    Well done, indeed.

  16. Simple MInd says:

I am just emerging from a 30 work contract in the internet-limited wilderness. Thankfully, the little online time I had was filled with family email and was mostly devoid of news and blissfully free of empty-headed celebrity news. Maybe I’ve been through withdrawal, but I now find myself wondering why anyone cares what a half-wit like Palin taps onto her Facebook page. She’s apparently still a non-contender with no campaign organization or plan except to insert herself into the news enough to keep her Fox contract by making an occasional provocative statement. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has Todd reminding her, “Honey, time to make another blatantly stupid public comment. Gotta keep those headlines coming, you know.”

    • laurie says:

If only we could be sure she would not be taken seriously or considered a candidate. With the economy the way it is, she might just start to sound like a sane alternative to some folks.

  17. laurie says:

And I thought she was just this country’s foremost energy expert. Sarah, it’s time to stop hiding your light under a bushel and go head to head with another brilliant mind.

  18. Waay Out West says:

Let us not forget the President Bachmann 10 point fix for the economy

    1. Fire the Treasury Secretary
    2. Call Congress back to tell the markets that there will be no default on the debt, that will get back our AAA rating
    3. Make sure all interest payments are made.
    4. Tell our military they will get their checks
    5. “make sure that all senior citizens would know they aren’t going to be scared any more. Their current benefits, both on Medicare and Social Security, will be paid.”
    6. Let Congress know the time for entitlement reform is now, not in the future.
    7. Repeal Obamacare
    8. Subsidize private health insurance via means testing
    9. Make positive decisions to turn the economy around
    10.Cancel White House bar-b-ques

  19. chicintheigloo says:

Really?!?!? This woman seriously needs to practice some kegel exercises of the brain to prevent the nonsense that leaks out and shoots out her mouth. Every time she spouts, I think, really?!? Or do I think, rilly?!?!

  20. lisa says:

Palin without her glasses looks like she just got out of bed. She is all about the glasses. In the Bailey book I was a bit confused as to why Bailey didn’t write Sarah’s response when he questioned her about the glasses. Could you clear this up for us?

As to her economics creds? None, none, none. She is as intellectually incurious today as ever. She is a tool for her handlers. Soon this will become evident when she announces she is not running. Then she will join up with her evangelical base and move on over to Christian Broadcast. There she will enjoy her tax-exempt status.

It is time to tax churches.

    • Laurainnocal says:

Yes, the tax-exempt status for religions must go away!

    • carol says:

Did Bailey question her or wasn’t is some geezer supporter of hers? I thought it was some old, good guy that she blew off and he wouldn’t tell anyone what she said. But Bailey saw it and it was another of those zings that, taken all together, finally opened his eyes.

  21. rebekkah says:

This is smackdown of the year!! Should win a prize!

Love the visualized ship being steered by Sarah and Mr. Crum, through the fog, on the Delaware, yelling: “hoist the flags, Todd” – guns-a-blazing, bells-a-ringing. Get the marching bands out.

  22. Gimme-a-break, Sarah says:

She must have studied real hard to become this stupid, though I do believe nature gave her a head start.

  23. Wally Bertone says:

I just want to know where I can buy a wheel barrel.

    • beth says:

Oh, you don’t need to buy one, WB…if you ask wheeeeeel nicely, some elite Ivy League grad might let you barrow theirs for a bit. 😉 beth.

  24. Dagian says:

Speaking of dirty politicians (not just a reference to that tacky t-shirt. I guess we all know the basis of $P’s ‘wit’.):

    Today’s online Washington Post

How Rep. Austin Scott betrayed his Tea Party roots
    Dana Milbank

  25. Winski says:

Maybe, just maybe, we can get a copy of Mama monkey’s economic plan for the US over to Paul Krugman for a brief review. Maybe having someone with actual economic background can review her plan, which would actually be a rational idea if she plans to try to do a half-campaign out in public where she may actually be forced to answer questions about her plan…..AND MORE!!!

OR, she can have Beck review it to make sure there is no support for the feared, global Muslim influence in it … that’s actually better in their bubble….????

  26. BigPete says:

“Houston, we have a spending problem”

Run huge deficits, then hold the unemployed hostage in order to extend the Bush tax cuts and take a deep breath and scream at the top of your lungs “We’re broke, medicare must go (sorry!).”

    http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/2011/03/img/not_broke_2.jpg/

    • mike from iowa says:

when rethugs got control of the House, deficits certainly weren’t a problem. When they had to keep taxcuts for the wealthy or no one would get them, deficits weren’t a problem. When its time for rethugs to make sacrifices for the good of the nation, they throw everyone under the bus except the wealthy and themselves. So how come deficits are such a big problem now? When they come back from another month of vacation,I guess I can ask them.

  27. Lacy Lady says:

Stupid is as stupid does! She is only showing her igornance.
They sit in their wheelchairs, scooters, and walk on canes that were paid for by the Goverment.
Just keep drinking the Kool Aid folks!!!!!!!

  28. Mo says:

    Meanwhile, at Paul Krugman…

    http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/08/10/dismal-thoughts/

“I’m still trying to make sense of this global intellectual failure. But the results are not in question: we are making a total mess of a solvable problem, with consequences that will haunt us for decades to come.”

  29. WakeUpAmerica says:

I have to say, I have never seen someone who was so proud of their own ignorance and stupidity. Takes my breath away.

  30. paul b says:

Just wondering why anyone cares what the half-wit, half-governor thinks about anything. Everything that escapes her pie trap is laughable. She’s a reality show gone trashier.

  31. g says:

give big business what it wants, abolish all those pesky regulations, and give the private sector “room to breathe.”

Meaning give them a “free lunch”? And that tax cut of GW Bush’s? Free lunch indeed.

    Stupid bint.

    • Alaska Pi says:

This really is the most obnoxious part of her so-called stance.
Big business has been breathing pretty hot and heavy down our necks for a long time, stalling or derailing innovative energy ideas, stifling job creation with whining about needing to feel secure enough to spend the money to do so, blah, blah, blah.
The private sector can do it better horsepunky was what got us here honey-whatzername.
Done with what the private sector thinks and thinking I don’t care to have it breathing on me what with all the rotten egg stench coming out its mouth.

      • CO almost native says:

And they, with GOP help, have destroyed the middle class- the very group needed to revive our economy. Plus, immediate cuts in spending= higher unemployment, less consumer spending, less economic growth.

I’m surprised she hasn’t suggested changing the words to the Pledge of Allegiance, to reflect reality: “I pledge allegiance to the Koch Brothers, for which they stand…”

  32. Alaska Pi says:

I sure wish everyone would quit calling her Granny P especially in the same breath they point to her dimwittedness.
She is NOT a poster gran for the rest of us Grands! She is going to set grandmotherness back to the 50s notion of a dithering , washed up , pale reflection of earlier vitality, type woman.
    pffftt!

  33. Rick Patel says:

Pretty populist princess Sarah Palin has proven perceptive, prescient, perspicacious, and prophetic on economic policy. She is poised and prepared for the Presidency.

  34. Diane says:

Don’t you think that the U of Idaho cringe every times she opens her mouth, tweets or uses Face Book? The depths of her ignorance shows no bounds! The fact they they are responsible for her proudly showing off her ‘college’ degree. They must be so embarrassed.
How can anybody that has a D in any subject be proud of it and Assumes(ass out of herself) that she knows more then a person with a degree from Harvard?

I know, lets start calling for a televised debate between Obama and Palin!!!!!

    • leenie17 says:

Not only does the President have a degree from Harvard, but he’s also got some of the smartest minds in the country to advise him on anything he might not know himself. And, unlike our Granny Grifter, he actually listens to them!

    • Dis Gusted says:

suspect she has more than one D and that’s why she only got an associates degree, if that, in 5 years and 5 schools.

  35. I See Villages From My House says:

Don’t forget that she defiantly told McCain and Schmidt that she was the “C” word, a Creationist.

Like Bristol always says, her mom is a whiz, she’d be an awesome President.

    • Baker's Dozen says:

      Cheese Whiz????????????
Oh, wait. She was born in Idaho.
      Potato Whiz?
      And grifts.
      Takin’ a Whiz?
      And lives in Alaska.
Snow Cone Whiz? (Goes with griftin’)
And has a house in Arizona.
      Dust Devil Whiz?

      • mike from iowa says:

please don’t insult spuds. Some of my best friends are spuds. I love spuds. I talk to them and they answer back.

        • Baker's Dozen says:

They just look at you with those eyes, and you melt, right?!
I wasn’t insulting spuds. I was insulting the imitation spuds that come in a box. Just add water, and, viola! a new VP or P candidate!

        • fishingmamma says:

I had a dog named Spud. I talked to him and he did not answer back.

  36. BeeJay says:

True confession: I also, too, have a D in Macroeconomics. Two in fact. Truly boring professors (really? in economics?) do not make for an interesting class, and that killed my interest completely.

On the other hand, it only took one university for me to graduate from at one fell swoop, and it didn’t prevent me from becoming a teacher. One who has to teach economics…

But, I’m not trying to defend stupid, and $P has boatloads of that.

    • mike from iowa says:

Is there any way we can blackmail with that information? Just curious. It might come in handy some day.

      • BeeJay says:

Sorry, Mike, it’s part of my transcript and since I’ve confessed, no blackmail is possible. 😉

I just hate listening to boring professors presenting their material with all the panache of the morning soybean reports from the Chicago exchange. You know what I mean, especially since you’re from Iowa!

O/T: one of my great grandma’s was from Ottumwa, so I have the vaguest of connections with your home state. So, corn on the cob goes well with grilled salmon in my family (I’m originally from Washington state).

  37. thatcrowwoman says:

“…actually educating them, or at least teach them how to have a logical thought process..”

I’ll be back on the job next week, Ben, and the students return August 22.
This Will Be a Better year in my Library.
I have plans to Make It So.

    I’m on it.
    and I am not alone.

    Granny P?
    Lost cause, maybe.
    No intellectual curiosity.
    Does not Listen.
Does not play well with others.
3 pretty big strikes, but if she enrolled in my high school, I’d still find a book to put in her hands. (Or maybe she’d prefer Seventeen or Bride’s magazine?)

So let’s all keep an eye on our local school boards, and state departments of education, and local and state and national legislatures this school year. Our children need us. They have no votes. It’s on all of us.

    As for Mrs. Todd Palin…
    pppfffffffftttttttttt!!!!!

    (love ya, benny)

    • mike from iowa says:

Yup the grifter sounds like the cosmic twin of America’s last great intellectual-dd(dubya). No intellectual curiosity, does not listen, does not play well with others and I’ll bet at the first perceived insult from a two-bit furriner,we would have WW3,compliments of SP. I fully expect to wake up someday and find out that the Quitter took to Facebook and just declared herself the rill savior of rill Americans and with it comes a lifetime appointment to pontificate on all subjects. America needs forced rehab. For the country’s own good it needs to get into therapy.

While I agree her red-button finger would always be itchy, it doesn’t explain why she stayed on the phone with a poor impression of a French President and allowed him to gratuitously and lasciviously insult her for over ten minutes.

Her taking this call behind the McCain team’s back spoke volumes of her motives, which was to be egotistical and mavericky enough to go over his head in the international arena even without understanding the most basic precepts of protocol.

Even the Harvard grad and first term Senator admits to having the ‘audacity’ to run for POTUS, yet the real audacity demonstrated in the last five years has been the ego of Sarah Palin in the political playing field. This woman has so many limitations it makes George W. Bush look competent; yet she continues to lob rocks at the establishment and the greater public that told her resoundingly to sit down and shut up.

Were it not for Fox News, she’d simply be coming off as an attention seeking raving lunatic, instead of a noble Mama Grizzly without a title who seeks to progress America and restore it to all that is great and good and strong.

        Whatever that means.

“if she enrolled in my high school, I’d still find a book to put in her hands”

Might have to borrow one from the elementary school, TCW!

    • Writing from Alaska says:

I stand in agreement, on all counts.

If you aren’t saluting or crying by this point, you’re not a real American.

I’m crying….crying that our education system could actually confer a college degree on somone without actually educating them, or at least teach them how to have a logical thought process..

    • Irishgirl says:

Ah, but does she have a college degree? The photo of Palin in her book decked out in her cap and gown looks strangely like sister. And it’s not as if forked-tongue Palin would lie to us!!!

Well, I’m laughing cuz if I didn’t laugh I would cry too. And we all know I’m not a rill American. 🙂

      • thatcrowwoman says:

        🙂
        back at ya
        rilly

      • libby says:

Why is it that no one has been able to confirm SP’s college degree? Seems a simple enough task and a necessary one at that when one is applying for a job, correct? Of course, she isn’t applying for a job at the moment…

On second thought, it is probably in the college’s best interest not to own up to that one.

      • Baker's Dozen says:

Well, only because you can’t see Russia from your house.
Can you see the Queen of England from your porch? Then you could be a real, um, Scot, or French Fry, or Aisle of Person!

      • paulabflat says:

exactly! i still say she doesn’t have a degree of any sort.

        rilly.

    • nswfm says:

I’m crying, too. We are in a big, big mess and $P is a side show.

Yes, just so. Nary a critical thinking skill in sight.

  39. Leota2 says:

Poor Sarah . . . . Does she really think anyone but her flying monkeys actually believe she has even one sound idea, can write past a third grade level or is even interested in the economy past buying really bad, cheap wigs?

  40. Irishgirl says:

She doesn’t understand what the debt ceiling is. That much is obvious. The Washington Post tried to explain it to her……sigh.

“But past rhetoric by other politicians, even the president, is no excuse for continuing to mischaracterize the debt limit. Palin either has a fundamental misunderstanding of the issue or she purposely is being misleading.”

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/post/sarah-palin-and-the-debt-limit-debate/2011/07/14/gIQAsSbgEI_blog.html

Granny Palin (congratulations btw……how many is that? ;)) is bone stupid and a laughingstock across the world. That doesn’t stop her from running her motor mouth off behind the cover of FB. She is the ultimate coward…..and an ignorant one at that.
