Let’s Play Decode that BS!

Oh, look! Governor Parnell has just tweeted, boys and girls!

You know what that means, right?

That’s right. Everyone playing along, get out your super duper Captain Zero decoder rings!

CaptZerotweet

Ready?

OK.

Now, remember Captain Zero is talking about how much money the oil companies should be able to get from our piggy bank in exchange for our oil.

Let’s see what we get when we decode the tweet…

Democratic legislators think Alaskans deserve wine and flowers.

(spins ring)

The Alaska Oil and Gas Association thinks you should get water boarded.

(spins ring again)

That lends credibility to the argument that Captain Zero’s plan of a full-on punch in the face is fair.

Well, there you go! It’s hard to argue with the brilliant logic of the governor’s office.

Tune in next time when we play, Decode that BS!

UPDATE:

Looks like we’re not the only one unconvinced by the magical logic skillz of our governor. The best Bill in Juneau, Senator Bill Wielechowski has thrown down the gauntlet.

    One word: NORWAY

Take a look at what they get out of the oil companies! Its insane.

  2. Zyxomma says:

Too bad the best Bill in Juneau doesn’t have more company.

  3. Alaska Cod Piece says:

Sadly. when only about 40% of Alaskans bother to get off their butts and vote, this is what we get. For shame!

  4. Moose Pucky says:

Governor Parnell does not operate in open forums. He operates in backrooms.

Those who advocate for open debate are the only ones with any credibility. Thank you Rep. Wielechowski.

  5. FrostyAK says:

Palin in Pants was and IS an oil company lobbyist. Nothing more, nothing less. The idiots who voted him in show a lack of intelligence and curiosity, exactly what the current ‘educational system’ (nationwide) is promoting.

He is incapable of debating publicly, and will ignore Bill W’s challenge. The peasants won’t notice.

Welcome to the new dark ages.

  6. Alaska Pi says:

    EXTREME D Legislators, gov?
    Really? Extreme?
    Don’t think so, honey.

Calling solid , middle of the road D legislators “extreme” gonna be your new tactic this year?
You fallen so far in the ditch there, the yellow line looks like the far horizon now?

At any rate, the logic in assuming you have hit a credible mean with your bill because there are concerns from both sides has holey underwear, sir. The AOGA is concerned there aren’t enough tax credits and those “extreme” Ds are concerned you are caving on multiple fronts with no guarantees we’ll get anything out of it.
Looks way more like the “extremes” might be right. Before this whole thing even gets out of the box the Oil industry already wants more .
Step up and debate Senator Bill, Governor.
Want to hear you say right out loud why you think you are proposing something which isn’t in the realm of “inexcusable trustfulness” of Big Oil.
Senator Gary Steven’s address to Commonwealth North still rings loud and clear to me

    http://www.alaskadispatch.com/article/sen-gary-stevens-proposed-oil-tax-cuts-inexcusable-trustfulness

“And ended with the judge saying that we, the state, were guilty of “inexcusable trustfulness” in dealing with the oil companies.”

    • John says:

Sticking up for Alaskans who aren’t oil companies is considered extreme in republican circles these days. Also, anything left of far right is socialism too.

  7. mike from iowa says:

Fluffer sounds more appropriate. Keeping the Big Oil pricks primed for the tax payer money shot X five.

  8. David Otness says:

Yeah Sean, step up to the debate plate rather than just being the oil comapanies’ bat-boy for all of this time.
Let’s see if you can make it in the “Big Show”….
Or, are you afraid you cannot stand the good Senator’s challenge?
I tend to believe you don’t have the personal courage nor the integrity required.
    Prove me wrong.
You are supposed to be by accident or otherwise, the Governor of this state of mine, the one you keep trying to loot and give away to the world’s wealthiest corporations.
With all due respect (puzzle on that one), show up or shut the fuck up.

    • The Lawman says:

he is too busy flooding paperwork and shredding paperwork…damn those INTERPOL investigators…
