Open Thread: Banned Books Week
I know we’re late to the game on this one – but it’s Banned Books Week and we’d be remiss not to mention it. This month Invisible Man was banned, and then un-banned… earlier this year one of my favorite books of all time Persepolis was pulled from the shelves of the Chicago Public School Libraries.
Censorship is alive and unfortunately thriving in America today. But there’s things we can do about it.
Make sure you share stories on facebook, twitter and else where when you hear of information being blocked.
But most of all – READ. For goodness sakes…. READ.
