Open Thread: Found Aurora

Just searching through my Alaska archives and came across a folder of some wonderful aurora photos from late last year. You can see the rest over at my new photo site (and get prints, if you like) at www.zdroberts.com.

Anyone ever hear of the late Ted Kennedy ever being charged with rape-credible or otherwise? I can’t seem to find it-if it ever happened.

Who said no two snowflakes are identical? No one has ever looked at every, single snowflake that ever fell so they can’t possibly know there isn’t or wasn’t a match somewhere/sometime. I shot an arrow into the air,it fell to earth…..wait a minute… if you shot an arrow in deep space chances are it would never see earth, let alone fall unless gravity got ahold of it. So how come nobody has ever been found at the end of a rainbow? What are the chances of that happening? Why can’t I find the lyrics to Will O’ the Wisp by Leon Russell? Can’t find the song either. It’s an open thread, vent on your most hated pols. Get some chatter going. Hate ’em all.

It’s a beautiful spring day here. There is snow on the ground, but the sun is shining and it feels like spring. Nothing to vent about. Life is good today, Mike.

A quick observation. Ever notice that people of the wingnut persuasion never, ever, ever post photos of the astounding beauty and bounty of Nature that doesn’t include guns or camo clothing? With all those weapons available, these people? sure feel insecure.

That’s a brilliant observation, Mike. They always pose in the orange hunting vests (or their camo), mugging for the cameras, weapons front; never seem to notice the beauty that surrounds them.

I had a great day yesterday, even though it wasn’t the happiest of occasions. We buried the last elder from dad’s side of the family. Aunt Dottie was sharp to the last, and made her final journey at 96. I got to reconnect with my cousins, her sons, and meet their spouses and kids. None of the grandkids (and not all the kids) made the journey from their respective states, but the eight of us enjoyed lunch at Cafe Luxembourg, traded contact info, and enjoyed each other’s company. Life goes on.

Good for you,Zyx.I like stories where families reunite and get reacquainted. And don’t shoot holes in your ceiling.
