Hello from Far West Texas

I'm in El Paso. I was one of the millions of visitors to Alaska this past summer. I found it one of the most fasinating places I have ever visited. Maybe that just shows I don't get out much, but it is hard to get my head around a state twice the sizes of Texas with a population the size of El Paso. Alaska is drop dead gorgeous and the people are great. The Alaskan attitude is very similar to that of Texasns. I mean that as a compliment. Anyway, I'm sorry, I could never live there. I like sunshine and warm. I have always thought that if there is a hell it is not hot--its 40 degrees and rain. Wait a minute, I think that's Whittier. Only kidding.
This is a great blog. Keep up the great work.

Welcome to Mudflats Blog!
Looking forward to your input on the race from a TX point of view.
LOL...If Palin/McCain wins, we can all move to AK, join the AIK and demand secession!
