Greetings all.  Just dropping in to introduce myself.  I'm a student (an old student) studying in Obama's Hyde Park neighborhood in Chicago.  Walk my dog past his house often.  Used to be wide open, now surrounded by concrete barriers and police.  Sad that.

Mudflats has been my inspiration for a blog I started the day after I heard Sarah Palin trashing Obama for his work among the urban poor.  Needed a place to vent.  Created Sarah Palin Watch.  Do drop by and leave a comment or two.  Would love to meet you there, as well.  http://sarahpalinwatch.blogspot.com

Welcome to the forums!

 Welcome

What you said about concrete barriers reminded me of the West Wing episode where they were talking about what they'd need to do to make Matt Santos's home secure.
