Greetings and a latte from Seattle

Could not resist.
I work nights and am frequently awake at odd hours. In the wee hours I found myself scared stark bonkers thinking about Ms. Palin with the Key To The Suitcase Of Doom. I was astonished by her selection and found this blog as I frantically searched for more info. Thank goodness I did- what I found was far more disturbing than I could ever have imagined, and without Mudflats gosh only knows what pharmaceuticals I would now be considering.
But more than news about She Who Must Be Obeyed, I found Mudflats to be a well written, amusing, accurate, and refreshing take on many other political subjects, and discovering the wonder that is Alaskan politics was like cinnamon on the milk foam.
It was great live blogging the debate with you all! Made it so much easier to get through! Along with some discreet sips of sherry.
Good luck later today on the big rally, Alaskans- you will have so many there in spirit there will probably be a volcanic eruption or something!

Hey, Newbie Astronaut, I thought you'd like my avatar pic. I love, Seattle, too. Seemed like today was a good day to join; glad to see another Northwesterner.

Phillip K Dick was right.

Waving at you from a few miles south on I-5, and I'll join you in a latte, well, make mine a mocha.
I agree that finding Mudflats, thanks to a friend who posted the link on my LJ, I feel like I know a lot more about Palin than I was learning from the news media at first. Unfortunately, the whole truth is even scarier than the lack of it was.

, Pat. Pop on over to the Introduce Yourself thread and let us know more about you. And, here's me unsuccessfully trying to send you a mocha through the "'nets"
