We have an election in our own country, but I cannot stop watching the trainwreck that is the US right wing.

Unfortunately our Bush wannabe will likely get in again, perhaps with a majority this time.  We're following you eight years back.

My first read every morning is Andrew Sullivan, and I usually agree with what he says.

I'm a former mainframe programmer, back at college learning accounting.  I'm 51 years old, about halfway to my retirement savings goal.  I'm down about 14% in the past two months, despite predicting disaster all along the way.

Hi, GossG.  I fervently hope U.S. politics gets less dramatic after the election. Those of us who have to live here--who fear for the democracy after 8 years of BushCo--would like nothing more than a sane, rational government, with two parties who are NOT run by Karl Rove.  Glad to have another perspective on our little soap opera!

 Welcome

Tip of my hat to our Canadian friends from one who remembers your help to our Iranian hostages!

I've been saying here that it "really is the economy" as James Carville said before me, years ago. It always is, isn't it? Cry

Keep strong, the economy will rebound when President Obama takes the oath of office!

Wink Hi from the east coast. Share the addiction.
