Thought I would start a fun little thread about our furry friends. Here's a couple of pics of my cat Odetta.

I am staff to two much-adored, much-spoiled, ill-mannered cats, Morkmer and Milo.  (Morkmer's name evolved over time and, no, he's not named after any 70's television shows.)

Morkie, the tubby tabby:

Milo, the giant tuxedoed loverboy:

(Both are clickable thumbnails if you REALLY want to see how totally not-obsessed I am with my fur-buddies.)

I see that, in addition to taste in formalwear, Sitka P. Coldfoot shares at least one of Milo's interests.  Milo sends headbutts and rumbles.

This is Ginger, my six month old tiny toy poodle, before and after her first trip to the groomer.

I absolutely love animals, and so glad others are posting their pets. We have some darn cute 4 legged family members.

Getting him to pose was easy... teaching him to read was the hard part!

1st time I have ever been on a blog...and I don't think I could have picked a better one to start on..

When I figure out how to put a picture in the avatar I will..my pictures are too big ...what size do they need to be???

We have some pets or I should say our fur kids..although for us it is a small number..
two dogs and two cats..
I do have some links to picture books for them as well as our newest one Rysa a kitty that we rescued from a neighbors dog at two days old and she is growing up just fine,,except for the fact I think she thinks she is a dog..
So we have a cat in a dog suit..

this 1st link shows all of our fur kids..we just lost Magic in July and are still getting over that...Rysa has helped simply cause she makes us laugh everyday..

http://www.share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0AbN27Js2ZtmLITg

this next one is Rysa's book

http://www.share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0AbN27Js2ZtmLIKA

Well I hope this works...cause this site..blog is the best..I have found out so much info that I would never have known otherwise..

And while this is my 1st post I have been lurking and reading for weeks..

It is comforting to know that there are people in the world that are informed and care about what is going on..I will keep reading..

TATFK:  Welcome to the Forum!

I tried to fix your links, but it didn't work.  If you go to the Forum "How To" Guides, you'll find instructions for inserting images as well as for creating an avatar.

Would love to see your photos!

TATFK:  Loved the photos....especially the puppy and snuggling in bed ones.  Didn't know you could set up albums like that in Shutterfly...nice!

Thanks Sutterfly is great and I had a free cupon for that 1st book so I thought it was time to learn..and they made it very easy..
The biggest problem was picking out backgrounds..too many to choose from and since I made it with the intention of taking it to the hospitals we visited for the kids I wanted it colorful

Here is Rysa's book and I may as well put up all their own pages.

Now there is one that has a page no here but she is included on any of the above under family...her name is *What* and she is the oldester of the group at 19 years old

Let me know if these links worked and I will try to download a photo for my avatar.

I really hope this works we shall see

Note:  Were you trying to link to your own hard drive?  Images need to be pulled from those already posted on the internet, i.e. Shutterfly, Flckr, or on your own website.  You can find more info in the "How To" section.  Good luck!

Well I still don't understand about putting pictures in the post and my pictures are still to big to use as my avatar..

It is one of those things I think I'll have to wait till someone comes to viisit so that I can ask them..

Unfortunately I am the only one in the house that uses the computer the others want nothing to do with it...I have learned a lot but some things.. :rhuh:lets face it lots of things I just don't get..

I hope everyone that wants to see the pic's in the links I sent takes a look..after all we all love our fur babies...

Nope.

I'm having the same problem and I'm fairly good at tech stuff.   I've tried to upload stuff from hard drive and I've tried to get stuff here from flickr - neither is working.  Of course, I'm not feeling well so I might just be dumbing myself to death.

My icon is my cat Leaper and this photo is of my cat Bob.

Leaper is about a year old and Bob is ten.  It's fun to watch them both together.  LOL

Meet Dakota, my rescued American Eskimo buddy!  She's currently a mascot at our seasonal campground and park here.  She's also an Obama supporter, but quietly because we're in a redder than red area here.....

ExAk my mom has an American Eskimo too.

I have two cats but no great pictures of them, they don't photograph very well.  Marigold is a long haired black cat, in pictures she is just a black hole. and Larry is a long haired grey with dark gray stripes (and polka dots on his belly).  They are both very very soft.

Larry is a mama's boy, and is within a foot of me if not on me at all times.  we think he is either partially blind or really dumb, he falls off stuff a lot (like the banister) and he constantly walks head first into things. he misbehaves if I don't give him enough attention.

Marigold is a quiet subdued genius, she knows her colors (or at least which ball is which when I ask for a specific one) she can open doors, she builds forts, she steals loose money (bills) and socks (this is actually a problem), she is also a snob and would prefer if we only fed her brie and chocolate chip cookies (which she also steals if they aren't in a cupboard or lidded jar).  She always looks like she understands what is being said or done around her and is quietly contemplating it.
