Been lurking for a while. I live in the Houston area in Texas, Aries, and can't vote as I'm a permanent resident but not a US citizen (Swedish citizen but lived in the US since 1973). Hope there's room here for a non-voter who is scared to death by Palin and McCain - right now I can't decide who is scariest. I actually knew about Palin before all of this, based on her environmental stance, but what has since been uncovered is truly terrifying. I also spent two weekends in Wasilla during a 3-week stint working in Anchorage - one of the people at the company owned a cabin on a lake and offered it to me for the weekend. I had a good time (this was early 90's) even if a loon scared  me half to death. Really enjoy reading the blogs and the comments!

 Welcome

Hmmm.... are you sure it was a loon and not just Todd P?  LOL

(Sorry, couldn't resist...)

Thanks for the welcome! Ya know, it might have been Todd Palin - it was a high-pitched rather girly shriek. Definitely not a manly scream at all.

Yeah, those loons can be pretty scary when you first hear them.  What's scarier are the loonies!
