Did you know I actually found Mudflats when I did a search for AK Muck -- which in poker terms means to fold Ace-King?
I have been an ex-pat in Asia for 18 years and am very involved in the international IT development community. Thus I am exposed to people from a wide variety of cultures. I spend enough time in the USA every year to keep up-to-date on local politics and cultural norms as well.
My perspective on the United States and world affairs has dramatically changed during my years abroad.
The rest of the world is watching and hoping for real change. Not just in our choice of president, but in the basic values that Americans share with each other to make day-to-day decisions. That they ultimately share with each individual on this planet.

Phillip K Dick was right.
The basic tool for the manipulation of reality is the manipulation of words. If you can control the meaning of words, you can control the people who must use the words.

For the States Project - I maintain two primary residences, one in Tokyo and the other in Oregon. I was born in Kenai and still make homecomings when I can.
