I am Julia, a wife and the mother of three high schoolers from Ohio, a battleground state.  I am also an evangelical Christian who is a "recovering republican" - LOL.  I have been somewhat ashamed of that (the republican part) for some time, but to tell the truth, it has helped me to understand this whole McPain/Failin ticket from the inside out, and have been able to explain some of the "code" and other weirdness to my long-time democrat friends.

I work daily on the Obama/Biden campaign.  I am the volunteer coordinator for my section of my town, and my sons and husband are right out there with me.  We make phone calls every day, we canvas a neighborhood every Saturday, and just do basically whatever needs to be done in our overwhelmingly republican town.  We all either work full-time (husband and I) or are full time students, and we are tired, but even so, the experience has enriched our lives, as difficult as it has been at times.  I am also excited to get to see my oldest vote in his first election.

I found Mudflats like most people, I guess (thank goodness for google), and I enjoy the people here so much!  It's so exciting!
