That's all I've got. I could go to Google language tools and click on translate, but I'd rather stick with what I already know. English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese I can converse in, to varying degrees (I've really lost my French from lack of use, but I haven't had much need. I could pick it up again were I to visit somewhere it's spoken). I don't speak German, Japanese, or Italian, but I have sufficient vocabulary to be polite, if nothing else. And for anyone wondering why the Portuguese and Japanese versions of thank you are so similar, that's simple. The Japanese were historically such a polite society before their contact with Europeans that they had no word for "thanks." The Portuguese were the first Europeans to have any impact on their culture, and so they "borrowed" the term (I say obrigada, not obrigado, because I'm female).
