See, that's why I need your pragmatic self around me all the time, nwsfm!

Here I was, gnawing at my nails, worried about some insidious, deeply hidden sibling rivalry....manifested in gift giving.....

I'll follow on Jaime from Wasilla's 3 favorite flowers:

lilacs, smell reminds me of my 30 year old son's birth, they bloomed then in Chicago
Daphnes, smell so good starting in late winter

 Peace Flag , man.

Three Reasons To Breathe Deeply And Love A Loser

1. Pause and thank God she didn't win. Consider how miserable Christmas would be! By this date, most of us would have drowned in our tears and missed the start of the new year.

2. The world now knows what WE knew the second we heard her name. And count 'em, 1550 people know where to go to celebrate on Jan. 20th!!!

3. Flying giblets. We wouldn't have had that long hysterical laughing fit without her. Would anybody else stand in front of a live bird murder on television?

So many ways to love the loser.

Three odd places I've been:

1. A house on the side of a hill that was up for sale. The house was leaning but it wasn't apparent from the outside. Once inside, it was noticeable by the door jams. The people that lived there no longer did, but on the dining room table were plates with food still on them. Possessions remained as if they would be returning at anytime. The basement was creepy. Boulders had been used to create the walls and were dislodged having fallen onto an earthen uneven floor. (Ohio)

2. A trail in TN above caverns. I was directed to go through a cemetery and head down the hillside toward the creek. My dog and I, being the adventuresome types, set off. I never made it to the creek because skeletal remains lined the path with, I am assuming, animal bones. It didn't help that the locals told me satanic worshippers were hanging around there. I am sure they are laughing to this day. Har har har.

3. In VIcksburg, MS there is an ODD place that used to be a grocery store but has had completely overhauled. Providing a link because this is impossible to describe.

Hi Carolann,
I didn't say welcome yet, so here it is:  Welcome
I also wanted to say something about democratic underground. I used to read over there. I found them to be ... harsh. Maybe though it was because I did only read certain threads.
It's funny how different sites either pull us in or turn us off, depending on what we tune into.
Again, welcome.
