Because religious groups and a few churches poured so much money and effort into getting Prop. 8 and other like minded marriage restrictions/bans in place they should lose their tax exempt status.  Want to play in the political realm, then no tax exempt status for you.  Tax their coffers, tax their property, tax their pay cheques, tax everything possible just like it is done on every other person and business in the country.

I am glad to see the LGBT community getting out there and standing up for their human rights.

I've no problem with followers of religions keeping their faith.  But keep it personal, not public.  I do not want anyone's religious rules becoming my secular law.

We need to go after the tax-exempt status of any church that takes such a big role in politics.
