Ok, new avatar.  Let's see how it actually look.

CO Almost Native, thanks for the link.  Unfortunately for me, I cringe every time I read anything concerning her.

I'm glad for Begich.  I sincerely hope that Stevens just goes quietly into the night.  I don't particularly want him to go to jail, but he needs to go somewhere.

Now, I must rant.  Joe-the-Traitor gets to keep his chair, gets a slap on the wrist, and it's all kumbyah?  Harry Reid won't apologize to anyone?  What, huh?  Sen. Lamont, who took Joe's Dem seat, was on Rachel today, and he had some stinging comments on the vote.

So, the Dems send out a clear message that you can walk all over them and be welcomed back with open arms.  Bah!

Sweet, the Begich/Stevens results. Secretly I still hope Stevens calls for (and pays for) a hand recount, as it would shed so much light on the questioned machines.

I don't think 85-yr-old ex-Senator Stevens needs to go to jail, but he does need to retire in ignominy.

Kitten abuse? Did I miss something??

Bedtime for this Bonzo as well.

NEWS FLASH:
Marty VA has been banished.  That's right, you heard it here first. He was engaging in so much trash talk, so much kitten abuse and so much general nastiness that he has been sent to his room for a time out.  Lips Sealed Let's hope he stops hoarding all the forum-related knowledge and when he is allowed out tells us: WHERE IS OSAMA BIN LADEN?

Ok, here tis.

Regarding Marty_VA

As I stated in that thread - If possible, we would like to be able to move on from this now. If anyone has anything they wish to say about this, please do not do it here in this thread, on the blog or in any of the other threads on the forums. Posts discussing this matter *will* be deleted on sight.

It is not about freedom of speech, it is about all of us having copped some unacceptable abuse for the last 24 hours, and now we're being threatened with hacking by Marty_VA. If that were to occur, these forums would be closed down permanently. Sad

If you wish to discuss this issue further you may click here to contact me via private message.

I don't quite see where the Freedom of Speech thing keeps coming up -- this is a privately provided blog/forum, and we're all here as guests of AKM, the moderators, and other administrators. They can (and should) keep things to their liking!

Thank you for all you are doing. We'll carry on now. Really.

And I really am going to bed....

Hi Everyone,
I'm sorry to have to post about what has become an extremely stressful situation for me on a personal level.  The situation involving a particular member began as an honest disagreement, but ended up escalating rapidly.

I don't want to talk about the specifics of this here in an open thread.  I'd rather the subject die, but I understand if members have concerns.  I would ask that you email me at akmuckraker at yahoo dot com, or send me a personal message.  But I ask that anyone refrain from posting about this on the forum from now on, as this situation has gotten to a point where it is really beginning to make me feel uncomfortable.

Thanks to you all, and I'm sorry if this situation has caused any of you to be distressed.

Kitty: I do not know the details of this dispute. I assume there must have been words between you and Marty. To me, the tone of your post seems gloating and sarcastic. Wouldn't it have been best for you to not to have said anything public about the matter on the thread since it concerns someone who apparently can no longer reply?

AKM: You have my support and respect. I thank you for all you have done.

Random Mudflatters:  I am concerned about some of the anger I have seen in the past 48 hours. I got a personal email last night from a different and very very popular and beloved personality on the site who is taking a break because he felt stepped on by an administrator.
