OK, so, are any of my fellow Juneauites up for planning something over the next month or so (in between holidays or after)? I'd love to put faces to names (and to dog photos..Sandy Beach!), so let's see what we can do. If I can get my house cleaned up, and there weren't too many of us, we could try that. Or there are any number of other places, though if we wanted to take over someplace, we might want to wait till Jan.
Also, I hear rumblings of plans for there to be an Inauguration party with the ceremony on a big screen somewhere, just in case people are making plans.
p.s. I'm modifying this post to point out that it made me a Governor!!

In Juneau, could we coordinate this to coincide with the meeting of the D's coming up Jan. 30 and 31 in Juneau?

That would be to accommodate your rural compadres who will be traveling there by ferry.

I don't see why an end of Jan. Mudstock would be a problem; would give us all more time to plan and organize anyway! Is there a statewide/SEwide D meeting that weekend?

Hey, Flower, you should go to the Introduce Yourself thread and let the Mods know where you're from so they can add you to the "States Project" list as being from AK!

Yes, In Juneau, its the Central Committee meeting. It would be great to get more general public to attend. They are open meetings.
As for Introduce yourself--I already have and am there with the rest of the scruffy Alaskans. I just keep morphing into new identities--as I travel the Flats and the Slough.

Ah, yes, Central Committee. I'd be happy to entertain delaying a gathering till there might be more mudpuppies in town. We could make it a whole SE thing!
OK, just so long as you've introduced yourself... You might want to let Sephyroth know you've changed identity (unless you're trying to stay undercover
) so that the States Project list can stay up-to-date (

InJuneau:
I'm in. Timing makes no difference to me. I do not have a place big enough for such a gathering (even if only 6 attend); but am more than willing to help and supply food, etc.
Thanks for taking the initiative!

I'm in! I should be in Juneau at that time.
And yes, I had heard about the Inauguration gathering with the big-screen TV and bagels and coffee. Maybe mudpuppies could wear identifying buttons and look around for each other! (Since I can't bring my dog in there, you won't be able to recognize me that way, InJuneau!)

Yeah, we're located Sandy Beach! I think we should all make little name tags with little yellow boots on them (I drew some on my signs for one of the rallies but then handed off my signs to others to hold!).
So, you're up for a Mudstock at the end of Jan.? If it doesn't get too big, we could have it at our house. Otherwise, we'll find a restaurant to take over (I know of a couple that could be convinced...) We'll keep planning, slowly, and will work on posting info here.

Alaska Pi--yeah, you found us! We'd love to have you and your sister mudpuppy join us! We'll figure out plans in the next month or so and see how many other mudpups we can gather. With Central Committee happening, we may have quite a few around.

The only problem with having it on Sat. is that the local D auction is that evening, and it's usually fun (and a good place to find gifts...). Let me ask around to some friends who have restaurants and see what we might be able to do though. If we're not too many strong, we might still be able to do it at our place...

Ah, I just realized, from reading the blog threads, that we've now reunited Alaska Pi and her sister Martha Unalaska Yard Sign on the Juneau Mudflats thread--how cool is that? Happy to know that we're filling out our Juneau party roster...
