I am from the Kansas side of the Kansas City metro area.  We have a fairly strong democratic record.  And even the county just to our north elected a democrat last time kicking out the long time  Republican incumbent.  Ours is one of the states that should seriously be for the Democrats, but isn't because they remember the old parties and have not changed.  Maybe we really will see a change in our lifetimes Grin
