Thanks AKM for the great picture of Brian! Two Thumbs Up! Party!

It is wonderful when we see nature so close!  I've had many "close encounters" with our bears but without glass between us.  Luckily they weren't interested in me, just in the fish close by!

These close encounters make the ol' heart do a quick pitter-pat!

Hope he visits more and stays safe from the hunters!

good afternoon fellow mudpups! It's a sunny 40ish here in VA. Wood stove is doing its thing, and I am still in pj's. Might not get out of them today! Am going to try to get out some holiday decorations today. Wish me luck .... I need some little elves to come crawl around the attic and find everything! That out of sight out of mind theory really applies to our attic! Black plastic bags are not good containers for stuff!!!  I can't find anything!

Wow AKM!  How lucky you are to be able snap that photo in time. Brian is soooo cute, he looks like you could just reach out and pet him. I guess that would not be a great idea realistically speaking. Will you be putting your scraps out for him now? It's neat how he figured out the bowl, veggie-sicles, yum, yum LOL

Hey Jamie, package is in the mail!!! Cheesy  Should be there within two weeks.

Hi Tired Mom - how are you? We've missed you around here!

Throw yourself into your holiday decorating and have fun! I wish I could do it with you!

I already put your package in the mail and should take 8-10 days. I didn't take the time to explain how everything is local from Nantes, so I'll tell you in an e-mail.

Good morning from California.  Sunny and a little chilly here this morning, but I am in my sweats with a nice fresh cuppa coffee.  TiredMom...  I used to have that same problem and the bins they sell are too big for my small closets, I found the perfect solution.  You know those nice plastic pliable wrappers that manufacturers use to package the blankets, and comforters sets?  I re use these for my holiday stuff.  I have several for Xmas, Easter, Halloween.. etc.  And I can see right through to see which it is I need.  Plus some have handles, but all of them fit nicely in my holiday closet.  I really like that I can zip them open and stuff in one more thing I forgot.

I had an enjoyable Thanksgiving with my sister in Hollywood which is Obama territory, as one of the invited guests mentioned.  He was her neighbor, but very civil.  We all laughed about it.  He is a convert.

Braveny, that is a great idea for those otherwise kind of annoying bags. I always think that I shouldn't throw them out as they might be useful. And there is sooo much plastic in them. But I never want to store the blankets in them because of the plastiky smell. They're not really waterproof, so no use for camping or boating. Doing a little dance now that I know they are good for something!

I use them to store spare blankets and pillows and linens, with a small envelope with cedar shavings included. It helps with the plastic smell!

AKM, awesome picture of Brian. He would be of lots of interest, were he here in Alabama.
Not that familiar with moose. How would he fare in this warmer climate? Would make a fantastic
pet, if I had a farm, or land in the country. I don't think he would do well in my apartment.  LOL Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. Rainy weather here, temp not bad 52o, supposed to have snow flurries here in Northern Alabama tomorrow. Strange winter.
Have a good one and keep the food flyin' for Brian.

Lovely post about Brian - made me want to send you carrots and apples.  Isn't wildlife just a delight to watch and even better to engage with?

That was so cool of Brian to come a knocking on your door
to let you know he is safe & in the neighborhood. Cool

About 2:30-3:30 AM we have a small herd of deer that come
into our backyard.  If we are up & about at that time, its nice to
watch the "Moms" nuzzle the lower hanging bird feeders to knock
the grain on the ground for the "fawns".

Just the other afternoon we had a little band of sharptails under the
feeders scratching up all the cracked corn & wheat.
