The Mudflats Cookbook
«

Bec in Illinois has put hours and hours of work into this, and we're very grateful for both her dedication and her talent (as you'll see)!
Rather than one huge pdf, Bec has put the cookbook into sections that we'll post here as they are completed.
Thank you, Bec in Illinois, and all Mudpuppies who contributed their outstanding recipes!!!
Desserts come first, of course! Download it here:

Sides and Soups

P.S. Have more recipes to add to the cookbook? We have our second recipe thread here:

I think that was back on the Mudflats blog, but since we're locked out of it right now, I can't go searching for you. Maybe that person will show up here... If not, I'll go search when the blog links are back up.

You're right, InJuneau....it was on the blog. I did a search for it on the Forums, but found nothing, nada, zilch.
But we sure could add it to the recipe thread when found....sounds deliciously warming!

But we're not locked out of the old wordpress site, which would have most of the posts. Is that not so easy to search? Or is it definitely on the new site we're locked out of?

Hey Icy - If you can edit your post for the snacks to say: Snacks & Beverages - the beverages are in there. I don't think this exact drink CO is looking for is in it - but there are some drinks on the last page. Thanks

It IS crazy to search for something through all those blog posts. But here is a link to many recipes that you might find satisfying with Schnaps and cocoa, et al!

Peppermint Schaps and Ovaltine? That is a grown up Ralphie drink, I'm guessing!

Thanks so much~ what a treat this is! I'll make some copies for my kids who think I have no life because I spend so much time here on the Flats. Several of them call for cooking advice regularly and this can serve as their new cookbook!

Hey everyone!
The Meat & Main Dishes section has been posted. Look in the first comment box in this thread for all the download links!
@CO: That soup sounds delicious...I'm going to try it this weekend!
We've started a second recipe thread here to keep new recipes from the ones that have gone into the pdf:

Thank you Bec - what a great job.
I discover something new every time I come to this site and am so impressed with the efforts, creativity, caring and sharing that people involved here are willing to put into a bunch of people that they didn't know before this blog.
Maybe there can be peace on earth. When the old white guys in power finally die off there will be a world of bloggers left to pick up the pieces of the hell on earth they have created.
And we will start with a bake-off. Winner gets to pick the order of the countries in the worldwide disarmament movement.
I like it!

Do you have an interest in cooking? Is it your hobby?
We're putting together a group of Mudflats Forum members to test the Mudflats Cookbook recipes! Our goal is to have the cookbook published for sale at AKM's store.
If you'd like to take part in the Mudflats Cookbook Publishing Club, join us in this thread:
