Congratulations to all our excellent photographers, and thank you to all who submitted their beautiful work.  Everyone who voted here commented on what a difficult job it was....they're all beautiful.

Thank you too to those who voted!

NEXT:  We could easily produce a calendar as a downloadable pdf.  But it would be great if we could somehow make this into a fundraiser for AKM as well.

If you know of a low cost...but good printing company, or know of a good method of producing our Mudflats Calendar, please leave a comment here, or send a PM to either mimi or Icy!

We need to move fast on this to get it out before the end of the year!

I don't know about printing calendars, but wanted to say that, yes, voting for only FOUR out of so many gorgeous photos was very difficult  Wink

Here's hoping that we get to see it all in print!

First things, first - we need to categorize the photos into seasons. If members would post here which season they think each photo goes into, that will make the final decisions easier.

I'll go first - and members can either agree with my choices or make a new list (note these are not meant to be in month order):

Winter:
Snaefelsness Peninsula
Horse Logging
Coke in Field

Spring:
Mississippi Swamp
Long Island Sound, Dawn
New Brunswick Flower

Summer:
Joyful Friends
California Garden
Little River Waterfall

Fall:
Prayer Flags
Treasure Beach Driftwood
Howth Head, Dublin

Yay! 3/4 of my top four picks are in! And twain12's winner was my second favorite of her four pics, which were all beautiful! And all of my (painfully eliminated) not quite top four, too, are in, also! I feel like I hit the jackpot, calendar-wise! Twelve months of wows comin' up.

  Party!

Yay!!  Beautiful!  Got three of my four top picks as well - Although they were all absolutely wonderful.

I arrived too late to add my pic's in (well, I'm still working on figuring it out!) - but none of mine compared to any of these so no big loss!

Dianna...I have to say that is such a hauntingly beautiful photograph of the Mississippi Swamp - I kept going back for more looks.  It's just awesome!

Good pic's all!

I use snapfish.com to do collage pix, photos, mugs.....have been happy with the results.
They do calendars for under $20.....probably could get a discount for a hundred...    Cool

Wonderful photos. I loved #30, the fiery red one, reminded me of a Tom Thomson painting. Wouldn't you agree?

Can't believe I missed this, but goes to show you, I haven't nosed around in the forum lately. Next time.

NEWS UPDATE ON THE CALENDAR!

Krinkle Bearcat Palin, who helped AKM to set up the Cafe Press site, has put together a great looking calendar for us.  She's working on a mock-up that we should be able to post here soon.

Rather than a 12-page calendar, we've decided on a one-page that shows all the months with a montage of all the photos.  The reasons are:

1.  The photos were all of different sizes and photo-quality....which makes it difficult to lay out and ensure print quality.

2.  A one-page calendar is much more affordable....ensuring that we can all have our own copies!

To all the winners:

Please send me a PM as soon as possible to let me know the title you'd like for your photo, and the name you'd like to have displayed!
