I'm originally from southwest Kansas (Garden City), and other places in Kansas - Lawrence and Wichita. I spent a fair bit of time in Colorado - around Denver and Colorado Springs.

But we've called Washington state home since 1980 - and love it here.

Blessings from Seattle (and Hi back atcha, Pat from Washington State!). 
I'm originally from Carpinteria Ca (just a few miles from where everything is burning to the ground...yet again).  Also spent some teen-age years in Arizona in the 80's, but I try to forget about that! I've been here in Seattle since 1989 and love it, though I was thinking about making tracks to Canada or France if the Election didn't play out the way it did!  *Whew!*  Happy to be stickin' aroundn now!

I'm just pokin' around the forum as I just now found it, even though I've been reading/commenting on Mudflats (blog) for a while...(yeah, yeah...I'm late, as usual!).

    ...so that's all I have to say for now.

I'm originally from Evreux, France and came to Washington State when I was 2 1/2.  Except for a year stint in Bend, Oregon, I have lived in Washington all my life and have scoured almost every inch of it!  Spent the first 30+ years in the Seattle area and then migrated to the east side of Snoqualmie to settle in a little town from childhood camping days.  With the exception of a trip to Maui with my sister last year and Illinois to watch our son graduate from boot camp, I've never been out of the PNW.  Glad I got to see Victoria before my birth certificate became an issue at the border!

Hi , been lurking around with a few comments made, but I would like to be able to be more a part of things  as time allows,   

I live in western new york, never been to alaska, though i did live in northern vermont (taught health educations also been a community organizer), which i tend to think may be very much like alaska, at least that's what i tell myself, also lived in miami which was not my cup of tea

i don't know if i'm doing this right but I guess it's trial by fire, i should be doing my insurance billing, I'm a massage therapist and deal with alot of injury cases and i'll do almost anything to avoid doing the insurance billing

oh yeh, the barracuda name is from my children, it's a nic name they gave me years ago and i use it often...i was quite shocked when i heard sp also had a nic name involving a barracuda.................ughhhhhhhhhhhh
