One thing we could do is find out who Doogan's political opponent(s) is/are, either in primary or in general election, and, if they're palatable, donate money to their campaigns, and send Doogan notification of each and every transaction and the amounts.

I am taking this opportunity to let you know that you are now considered an assolute "P&ICK" for what you have done to the Mudflats community. You should know by now this close knit network is far more reaching than you can imagine. It was voted the #1 political blog of 2008. Kiss your chances of any reasonable political future "good-bye".

I could go on and on about what you have done, but the anger and hate I'm feeling would influence my comment. I am trying not to be as vulgar to you as you have been to us.

AK Representative Mike Doogan just publicly revealed the identity of an influential Alaskan blogger, in what seems to be the most asinine way possible.  Here are the details:

It's one of the most petty actions I've seen in the last little bit. What's worse, the public official in question seems to have no regard for the real-world ramifications of his actions.

The story deserves coverage, at least.  And hopefully, censure from the larger media community.

I would suggest that at a minimum, we get 1000 or so mudpuppies to let Mr Doogan know what we at Mudfats think.


The two things we have in common are that we are both Democrats and both from Alaska.  Having said that, I think what you did by exposing the Anonymous Blogger is despicable.  How do you know that this person wasn't hiding from an exspouse or didn't want their kids ridiculed at school or a whole other host of reasons.  I moved from Alaska years ago and politicians like you were one of the reasons.

I'm devastated.  Like Irish, I feel I can't talk.  Apart from contacting Doogan, which is a given, anything at all we can do just let us know.  AKM you are our hero in so many ways.
