Am I here??? Did I make it??? Have I finally arrived in the new century???
I've been so saddend by recent events that I've lost the heart to be too excited over my new found ability to post.
Suffice it to say that my heart is with you, and I'll gladly stand behind your decisions.

Peace, LS Cool

Wow!  That was the warmest welcome I've ever had.  I feel flush!
If you look closely at my picture - that I think shows up here - you can see my (our) little Alaskan mountain... You'll recognize it if your my 'neighbor'.  We affectionately referr to her as "the big boob".  My kids still giggle when they're in the car.

I'm proud to be a part of your group!  Thanks.

Since I'm still learning the ropes, I wanted to share a nice story from an email I recently recieved.  I'm going to try to copy it here, just to see how it works.  Hope you enjoy it.  How do I get the pictures to post, or should I even try?  Does that take up too much space?

Quote
Jasmine
In 2003, police in Warwickshire , England , opened a garden shed and found a whimpering, cowering dog.  It had been locked in the shed and abandoned. It was dirty and malnourished, and had clearly been abused

In an act of kindness, the police took the dog, which was a Greyhound female, to the nearby Nuneaton Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary, run by a man named Geoff Grewcock and known as a willing haven for Animals abandoned, orphaned or otherwise in need.  Geoffand the other sanctuary staff went to work with two aims to restore the dog to full health, and to win her trust..  It took several weeks, but eventually both goals were achieved.

They named her Jasmine, and they started to think about finding her an adoptive home.

But Jasmine had other ideas.  No-one remembers now how it began, but she started welcoming all animal arrivals at the sanctuary..  It wouldn't matter if it was a puppy, a fox cub, a rabbit or any other lost or hurting animal.   Jasmine would peer into the box or cage and, where possible, deliver a welcoming lick.

whole story here, with photos!

Thanks for the info.  I'll try to get around to putting the pics with the story.  They were cute.

While I'm sharing, here's a link to my favorite song:  www.cowswithguns.com

It's an oldy, but a goodie... pretty funny, too.
