I was in the state Capitol today and heard Mr. Doogan talk about the response he's gotten since outing Mudflats.

Apparently the readers of this fine blog are only women, and people from out of state.

I commented on your post. Smiley With different things to what I wrote here now..

Clearly, women and people from out of state are lesser beings, in his mind.  Shocked Shocked Shocked

Who knew male chauvinists like this are still allowed to roam the planet? Male chauvinists with either a bad toupee or a bad combover, too..

Could it be so many women have rejected him that he has written them all off? I suspect this might be the case. Nobody wanted to  Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Doogan! That's so sad.  Shocked

He is; who knows how (maybe she's related to Nancy M?)

Excuse me while I whip my Freud out... Male chauvinism is generally a sign of an inferiority complex and repressed anger toward women. It is quite likely that in degrading and attempting to bully women (especially a woman who is a far better writer and political commentator than himself), Mr. Doogan is channeling his negative emotions and feelings of inadequacy in to what he sees as a acceptable outlet.

Or maybe he's one of those henpecked husbands who overcompensates by just generally being a jerk.

Either way, he tries to justify his actions by playing the righteous public servant, but anyone with an ounce of logic can see that his behavior is personally motivated and very childish. As AKM said, in outing her he manages only to reveal his own shallow character.

Maybe Doogan is just another male who has gone insane because of male menopause. Some guys buy a corvette and have an affair, others have significant personality and behavior changes caused by hormone changes. Give the man some prem-pro and he'll mellow out.

Let us suppose for a second that the majority of Mudflats members are female and/or out of state.

Your point IS, Mr Doogan??

where in the world did this pencil d**K, mf come from.  I mean how ignorant can you be.  I might have to make sure his book fans know what an idiot he is and how he is so dismissive of women and anybody that is not an alaskan.

Well, besides being rude the same way Kermit's gotta be green, I think his point is he's an Alaskan State Representative, so why should he care what others outside the state think?  Also, women tend to be hysterical because of their lady bits, so what more can be expected from them?

Unfortunately, women both vote and donate money to political causes, and outta-staters do at least the latter, so his logic don't exactly flow. Also, framing yourself as a denegrator and beater-up of women may not play that well with the voting constituency back home -- unless it does?

He *wants* to Hindenberg, to crash in a firey blaze while his gasbag explodes. At the very least, him going on like this in public seems to indicate he's not really savvy vis a vis youtube and web instareporting. He seem to be gearing up for a "Macaca" moment.

Among other things, it sounds like he quit reading after the first 200.  Now we all know women do things promptly, etc. etc.  The remaining 400 are all Alaskan manly men and hopefully he's really irritated them.  Smiley

Connie, was prompt once in 1982, I think

You know, come election time, I bet the folks at Daily Kos would be glad to consider Doogan's primary opponent for their "Orange to Blue" funding. I know they have raised lots of money in the past to get creeps out of office. Those creeps are generally Republicans, but nonetheless Doogan seems to be a prime candidate for targeting. His rudeness and dismissive attitude are enough in my book - the outing of AKM just brings it to a more serious (potentially law-breaking) level.

I guess you Alaskans should start thinking about who could be a good Dem challenger to oust Doogan!

As I told him in my email to him...it is the issue of a little thing we call the CONSTITUTION that is my biggest concern...disregard of it is a major concern to many americans, regardless of where they live or what gender..

he who is an elected official, is to know, understand and Defend it...

This man is a real PUTZ, and I use the term "man" loosely. Why would it make a difference if all the emails he recieved were from woman or from all men. You would believe a person with some intelligence would accept from all those he emails that maybe, just maybe, he did act somewhat like an a$$ and admit it. As for between 200 to 600 emails. Yeah right. In a Pig's Eye. More like thousands.  What a Jackass,,, Sorry, I apologize to the Mule Family of mamals as they are not as rude as the DooDoo

I guess the guy never heard that old saying that the female of the species is deadlier than the male, either. Appears he's taking on water and is sinking fast.

Danke, fraulein. Smiley

But seriously, why else go out of your way to tick off folks?  IMO, because he doesn't like what he's doing anymore and wants to leave as loudly as possible, while hurting the most people as possible, because it's amusing to him to do so.  Better this, I guess, than going postal.

At least this way, there's the possibility of a scotch at the end of the day.

Well, at the noon of the day.

....

Is 9am too early for Scotch?

I emailed him and told him I was out-of-state. I told him I would be making campaign donations to any and all opponents who run against him.

I will donate....and I will send him the receipt.
