That is a tricky one Sally
I'd say go with your gut.  Which one do you feel represents who YOU are.

Actually, I'd say go with where you're elligible to vote, since I think that's what's behind the poll.

Also, depending on what the poll is meant to ascertain, a third parameter might be: "do you post on the flats at least once a day".  I'm not sure if forum == blog for the purposes of that parameter.

I'm guessing the poll is meant to answer Doogan's assertion re: flats readership.  I'm betting in his mind regular posters == readership, which is not necessarily the case.

Yes, that's what I did.  I fiigured since I am not a resident, I checked non-alaskan, even though I consider myself Alaskan.  I have not gotten a pfd for over 16 years as I don't qualify not being a resident.  I guess there would have been ways to go around it.  I consider myself honest w/integrity.  Wonder what GINO would have done?  Thats quite a bit of money for a family of 6 or 7?  All of my friends and family that I have talked to have b***ched about the taxes they had to pay on last years pfd.  She thought she was doing everyone a favor by buying their votes only to let it kick her in the arse.  Some have said that the payment they made to the IRS was the amount of the check they received.

I'm male, Alaskan, and am a register Democrat in Doogan's district. Although I may be in the minority at the Mudflats, I am exactly the sort of person Doogan should try not to offend. I made a lot of neighborhood contacts during the election last year and have and will continue to spread the word about Doogan's shenanigans. I sure hope he comes knocking at my door again next election season.

Yeah, I feel obligated to make up for having voted for him. I knew he was an egocentric and pedantic putz, but most politicians and journalists are, right? I had no idea of the magnitude of his fatheadedness. Not that the Republican competition had much chance in the district. Still, if it comes down to it, next time around I might just vote GOP. Now that's a scary thought.

Maybe you should just run against him!!  I'm sure we'd be able to raise a bunch of funds for you.

I would except I have absolutely no desire to enter into the world of politics. It's hard to  imagine myself shaking hands, giving speeches, doing the phony electioneering... I don't have the stomach for it  Lips Sealed  I'd probably pull a Howard Dean at my first campaign event  Angry  I have a very little patience for liars, cheats, and the willfully stupid. I would have to form my own party too. The "What the Hell is Your Malfunction you Ear'oles", AKA the WHYME  party.  Wink

Doogan believes mudflats is just a bunch of women from out of state.

Doogan (on losing the next election):  Where did those other Democratic candidates get all that money to campaign against me?

AKM:  I heard it just came from a bunch of women from out of state.

OK.  I give up.  The Spousal Unit just tried to register as a grubby one (Mudflatter) and can't, and we can't figure out why.  Geniuses (geniuii?) out there, give us a hint!  He'd add to the male ratio!!  Pretty please? Shocked Cheesy

Doogan, BTW, is obviously a bit of an idiot.  Why else would we be trying to log on another authentic Alaskan male - since 1952 - obviously more Alaskan than that TWIT!  LOL

ds55 - edited to add - ROFL!!!!  I can probably add my mom and my daughter to that one!

modified - again! to add a wrongful finger twitch!

I can help if you tell me what is happening. Wink Are you getting an error message?

No, Snos, just no action at all.  He's chosen a name, uses the same email addy as mine (of course) and a totally different password - but we check off the "you can't sue me" box, hit the right button, and nothing happens!

Don't worry about it - I'll try again in the morning! Cool Could be my lousy typing or his!

You can't have two accounts with the same email address. Wink

If you don't have another one, make a gmail to register. Smiley

Male out-of-state (and indeed out-of-country and out-of-continent) here. Don't post here so much any more, but still enjoy lurking and posting the occasional sarcastic joke.

Haven't been keeping up on the whole Doogan thing, though - he seems like he's gotten a bit obsessed with this blog...
