I have lived in Juneau for about two and half years now.  Like so many in Alaska, I moved here to take a temporary 9 month job but haven't yet left.  I teach economics at the University of Alaska Southeast.  If anyone wants to 'out' me it won't be hard since I am the only economist on campus.   Wink  I grew up in Southwest Missouri and moved here from Ft. Collins, Colorado.  I have been reading the blog since last fall and have been addicted ever since.  I am married and have one fur kid, an 80+ pound black lab mixed breed who believes he is a lap dog.  My husband's best friend gave me the nickname, firecracker.  After considering it a bit, I decided that it was very appropriate since I am a red head, loud and can be a bit energetic and sometimes explosive in my actions.  Nice to meet y'all.

Welcome fellow Mudpup!   Welcome

It's a shame you hadn't delurked so you could be a part of the Juneau mudstock we had in late January.   Undecided

You will now be on the "list" to contact for future Mudstocks in Juneau!   Grin

 Welcome

Nice to see another Alaskan here (not that I'm one). There's strength in numbers.  LOL
