I can measure when I found Mudflats to when I stopped getting my work done. I believe a day or two after Palin was announced. This is soooo addicting. But the community here is so wonderful, I just can't stay away. You can get high just on the enthusiasm and realizing how hard and sincerely people are working for Obama and to turn our country around. I'm pinching myself that I finally found so many people "in one room" that I agree with.
I'm a true midwesterner -- lived in Ohio twice, Kansas City, southern Illinois, Wisconsin, central Illinois, and now Chicago western suburbs for 33+ years. But I've traveled just about every US state BUT Oregon and Alaska - where I plan to go next year. Unlike Sarah -- I got my passport when I was 17 - and just got it renewed so I can travel abroad with pride again - after my senator - Barrack Obama - becomes our next president.
Thanks Mudflats, Mudflatians, and Obama Sign CCTV for being there for us. We are keeping the mo going to November!
Peace

Bec, I agree with your post...since Mudflats has come into my life...I have a much harder time getting my regular work, esp. around the house, done! It is so purely addictive...it is a fantastic political soap opera...seemingly without END!
As to where I live...I also live in Western Illinois!

I would marry them and come up with:
Muzzle Red Palin
Guzzle Missile Palin
or my favorite:
Bled Runt Palin, or B Runt P for short.

Phillip K Dick was right.
