This is in my hometown. I think I saw something about it on Crooks and Liars or Think Progress, too. I'd be glad to show her around! I love her city; I'd love her to see mine.  Smiley

I was actually thinking about doing this!   Shocked

Part of the application process involves choosing two posts for them to review.  I am totally stymied.  Anybody have suggestions for what to send?  What posts really spoke to you?  Which ones were the most important?  Which ones are the most "Mudflatty" that would convey what the blog is all about?  You can send me an email or post here.

Thanks!!

AKM, I think you should use at least one that has an allegory in it. I always found those posts to be so entertaining, yet insightful and sharp.

If I get a chance I will look for specific examples.

Good luck with the application!

I Agree The Lyin' the Witch and the Wardrobe or one of the more recent ones with flyinureyes graphics would be good for one of the posts. I haven't had time to look through the archives yet, but I was thinking about a few from September!

I also vote for an allegory. There have been some doozies! And maybe something about Doogan, if that's not too painful.

Agree with Fresh Tracks.....The Naughty Governor is a good one with flyinureye graphics.

I started going through the archives and ended up with a list of over 20....just from 2009.  I didn't see the ones from the old blog in early Sept.

Besides Naughty Governor, here are 2 from my list of 20:

I love all the allegories, and am forever smitten by your writing about Talis "Codpiece" Colberg's pompous year-end letter to his, er. troops.

I Agree

Any (and all) of the allegories are terrific.  Let us know when the fundraiser starts!  Speaking of get-togethers, which we weren't, but I am now  Huh?  how about Summer Solstice next year at Eagle Summit?  Could stage at my house in Fairbanks!!

How about the single, most influential blog post in history.....'What is McCain Thinking" from 8.29.08?

I couldn't get to it from the archives.

Yes, yes and yes.

It had 1,303 comments. I stopped myself from reading them, otherwise I'd never get to bed.
I do think Curiouser that you are right..this was one of the most influential blog posts in history. It got everyone wondering and looking for more information. In essence, it derailed *the straight talk express* - is that what they called themselves?

This post and one of the allegories would be perfect in my humble opinion.
