Jaime, the location might have had something to do with it! I could Not stop starring!!
Some of those hummingbirds just have the MOST vibrant of colors. Wow! (I do love hummingbirds, so small, so fast)

From Flora Thompson's "Lark Rise to Candleford" "A little later, remembering man's earthly origin, "dust thou art and to dust thou shalt return," they liked to fancy themselves bubbles of earth. When alone in the fields, with no one to see them, they would hop, skip, and jump, touching the ground as lightly as possible... and crying, "We are bubbles of earth! Bubbles of earth! Bubbles of Earth!" "

Reminds me of 9/11. I just know I shouldn't have said that.

Cool hummingbirds! I've managed to take a few nice photos of them over the years. The neatest one I've ever seen was in Bolivia. It was nine inches long, and we were told that it was the biggest hummingbird in the world.

The Office of Governor General is coming open soon and there is a lot of bandying about William Shatner becoming the new GG. Most aren't taking the proposed nomination very seriously, it is an amusing idea.
Can you picture Bill as the Queen's representative? Tons of pomp and circumstance.... come to think of it, he might be a rather interesting choice after all!

OTTAWA — An online campaign to beam William Shatner into Rideau Hall as Canada's next governor general has received another nod of approval — this time from former Star Trek co-star Leonard Nimoy.
