She will likely do very well as long as her pack loves her! Best wishes and great work, justa.  Cool

Justafarmer,

I'm so sad to hear about what happened to Glory, but glad that she's going to be okay.

If you ever watch The Dog Whisperer, he talks a lot about how important it is for humans to be the pack leader.  You are an amazing pack leader and Glory definitely knows it.

Sending you all lots of love & healing energy!

thank you everyone for the good thoughts.
we are looking forward to Glory coming home tomorrow.
I shall be the pack Alpha Female so the rest of the dogs give Glory some peace to recuperate. Glory is an outdoor dog but no way is she leaving inside until she is healed (other than going outside for "needed business").

happy and sad news today....
Glory is home (and it's like having a pack of two-year-olds in the house whilst the pack reorganizes itself).
Here she is just a few minutes ago:

holding off the sad post (and it has to do with the dog pack re-organizing...I need to take some deep breaths and wipe my eyes)

one of my older rescued dogs, Ellis, died at 8 am while I was on the phone with the animal hospital.
two pix of Ellis (aka "that slick little black dog")

He was always first one to hear a vehicle pull up in the driveway:

and he was ever the cutie:

His death was a complete shock....it happened so fast and with no warning. I'll not go into details other than to say that the vet said there was absolutely NOTHING that could have done to change the ultimate outcome. But hubby and I were there holding Ellis at the end.

I weep but remember the happy times.

and there is ALWAYS the Rainbow Bridge (ooohh! I'm gonna be mobbed by a HUGE pack of my furry companions come my time!)

I'm so sorry, Justa.  Hugs to your DH and all the critters, too.  Thank goodness Glory found her way to you and then found her way back to you when you were most needed.

I'm still beyond sad, but I've got the new member of the pack and we have to get that sorted out straight away.
I'm hoping I can get Glory to figger out the difference between indoors & outdoors bathrooms....

Ellis and all the loving doggies will be rompin' in heaven, waiting until you and rest join them over the Rainbow Bridge.  I feel your pain... Hug

Hang in there Justa,  Hug
Sad this week has to have been very hard on you.  Cry I have no other words...
...so I found these...

Don't cry for me when I'm gone
author unknown

Quote
Three score and ten are given to man,
But ours is a much briefer span.
So, though I give you all my heart,
The time will come when we must part.
But all around you, you will see,
Creatures that speak to you of me;
A tired horse, a hunted thing,
A sparrow with a broken wing ...
Pity - and help (I know you will)
And somehow, I will be with you still;
And I shall know, although I'm gone,
The love I gave you lingers on.
