actually, she weighed 44 pounds the day she had surgery...vet said she should weigh at least twice that much...so she's halfway toward her "ideal weight" now!

turns out Glory is askeert of thunder & lightning! She's been hiding in the house since last night's thunderstorms.

Oh that poor dear.  Over the years we've also had a few dogs terrified of the thunder storms.  Poor things would snuggle into bed and shake so hard it could put those quarter beds in hotels to shame.

Give Glory and extra scratch behind the ears for me please.  (I a-scared of those nasty thunder storms too)

We had a golden retriever who was TERRIFIED of them, too. We still have scratch marks on some of the doors!

Our Molly is the same way.  Under something is best.  Last spring/summer I started making a tent for her on the couch when the thunderstorms came and she seemed to be pretty happy with that.

Isn't it interesting how they know the storm is coming hours before the first sign is visible.  Just before my joints start feeling the pressure changes, my dog and cat know.

I'm in Ringo withdrawal. We dropped him off for official retriever training last night.

I miss him.  We can visit him anytime, but it's not super close--like forty minutes in the country.  I'm just a worried mama.   Embarrassed

I have been busy working in Feb. and early this month and have not had time to spend here on the flat forum, so am just catching up. Justa, Glory's story is so sad and so uplifting all rolled up in a large footed ball. My thoughts are with you with your loss as well as  your gain. The ducks are just ducky...but shouldn't there be snow on the ground up there? What idiot would throw a cat over a fence? Wait...maybe Sarah ment to throw it under the bus but missed! I am so glad to be slightly aquainted with such lovely people that populate the Flats, and honestly think that we collectively have the greatest fur/feathered families ever!

I'm sure Ringo will do great at school.   Hug  Thankfully school doesn't last forever and your baby will be back home before you know it.

Two months!   Cry

Thanks for the good wishes.  He's a very enthusiastic dog who LOVES to fetch.  It's a minor preoccupation he ranks just ahead of breathing.   LOL

I think I can last a week.  I think.  *crosses fingers*

Two months!  I don't know if I can worry about you worrying about Ringo for two months.  Shocked

A week at a time sounds do-able.  Yes you can.   Hug
