Regarding Palin’s latest Twitter quote:

Quote
..”More talk of #2 “Stimulus” Pkg? Please no- for so many reasons- incl the 1st one hasn’t done what’s promised, & debt forced on AKn kids is.

selfish & immoral bc it robs their future opportunities!”If there is trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace”Thomas Paine..

I really don’t like how Sarah automatically tries to link every little thing to children. It’s as though she’s always trying to tap the most base anger of her followers. “They hurt children! We must stop them!”

The whole Letterman dust-up was exaggerated to be about child-rape. The fake outrage over a photoshopped ‘iconic image’ of baby Trig, the right-to-life no matter what the circumstances because babies are blessed angels...

I think she knows exactly what she’s doing -- trying to unleash the unstable, fringe elements of her base to react at her command.

She is using the old repub "us and them" trick. Us is good, we love babies, anyone who supports President Obama is bad, they hate babies. It also works in advertising, "if you care about your children you will buy brand x". And what is with the quotes already?

Either someone's given her Bartlett's book (  Shocked  ) of quotations or she's figured out how to use Google.  Wink

Don't forget that at the base of it, the us v them is blacks (specif black men) vs whites (specif white women).

That being said, if she wanted to have a positive influence on babies, she shoulda a) stayed governor and/or b) donated all her book proceedings to UNICEF or similar.

She doesn't give a rat's patoot.

That's assuming she and her base "care" for post-gestational babies.  It's my personal belief that the kind of babies that UNICEF would help are way too old for them.
