Hey Mudpups,
I will be in NY from the 29th July til the 2nd or maybe 3rd of August. A few of us have talked about meeting up, and some plans have been made. Anyone interested!! We are thinking of a picnic in Central Park or maybe a trip to an Irish pub. Or maybe both!!  LOL I will have my 17 yr old son and my 12 yr old daughter with me. So feel free to bring the kids.

You-know-who will be there.  And my vote is both.  Ok, my vote is Pub.  Smiley

But in reality, I've never been to Central park.  We'll work it all out.

can't wait.

Of course you are!

Too bad I won't be able to be there to party with you.  I have other plans that weekend...  Sad

I would make the trip out to NYC in a heartbeat, but I think it's too close to the coming grandchild. I'd love to be there!

We are starting to look at a train trip around the country next year, and I'd love to do the Pennsylvanian from Pittsburgh to NYC as practice!

hi mudpeeps. ok i have decided on the Frying Pan at pier 66 and the westside highway.i want to take you to the place where i love to go when the weather is fine and i want to be on the water. it is quintessential new york. great people, good food and cold beer.casual dress. right up the street from chelsea pier. i believe the mudpups will approve. let's say we meet up at 5pm.on the saturday. i hope all the pups in new york area will come out. this will combine picnic and pub and children will not be bored and stuck inside a bar. google the frying pan and you will see what i mean...love bubbles

Sounds good.  However, I suspect the Angels and I will be there earlier.  Can we make it closer to 3 so we can get back home at a decent hour?  Besides, the place looks terrific and on a Saturday I suspect it might be hard to find seating for a bunch if we go around dinner time.  ??

Oh... and if the 3 pm thing is good, perhaps for those of you who are already in the city, we could get together, at least some of us, ahead of 3 Pm for some walkin' around the city, that would be cool with me.  I love the city.

Angels???

And I think we can all be in agreement about bubbles' pick of place... I'm going to put in an order for sunshine that day. Smiley

I anxiously await seeing lots of posts and pics of this wonderful event...

Have a blast and remember those of us who will only attend in "spirit" (a nice shot of whiskey will be considered a suitable salute  LOL)

wandering around NYC, in the vicinity of our eventual landing place, is a fine idea!!!  Everything is within walking distance, just about.  And with decent weather, it would be a fine thing.  Great photo ops, too, also!

Let's hear from the others of you who want to join us at the Frying Pan at 3 PM on August 1.  NYC Mudstock
