Welcome  GreatGranny2B - this is a fun place to explore and participate in!  You can see who's online in the lower left corner.  You can also check the chat room cuz sometimes there are people there who don't show up in the corner...
Have a great time checking it all out!

Welcome GreatGranny2B...  Welcome

mudflats was my 1st adventure also. I venture far afield now but I don't participate much; unless the link is from here.

Still a wee-bit timid I guess but I think I can safely say you are now "entering the safe zone"!

When is the babe set to arrive?

Thanks for all the warm welcomes and tips on using this format.   It isn't true that you can't teach an old dog new tricks as I'm proof that you can!

Great grandson is due in mid-October and eveyone is gaga but me. . . . . . some one has to keep a sane head, right?
Actually, I am VERY excited and have done my share of shopping as well.   We live in a rural area with a big chunk of
acreage, so our two girls and the two grandsons have their three homes almost in my backyard.   Because of the proximity,
I'll get to see the new little guy often.

 Welcome to the forums GreatGranny28.

I know you'll find the experience here to be fun, civil and polite.  reindeer  If you ever want any help at all just ask, we've all been new to this at one point.

Congratulations on the impending birth of your great grandson.  Do keep us up to date and post pictures of him when he's born - we love pictures.  Smiley

We also like any excuse to use the icons.   Wink

Aloha - I'm stumbling around the forum myself today.  It's a sunny 62 degrees here in Juneau Alaska this afternoon.  I've seen your posts but it's good for me to mosey on over to this side for a while.

Take care friend -

Okay - I've been here for awhile and did a prior intro, but guess I forgot to put where I am located as I'm not on the states' list - Kentucky.

I'm originally from VT, but have lived in 12 states (including Alaska), and overseas in Germany, as we are a retired Army family.

I'm a retired financial services counselor and independent auditor - otherways known as a number geek.

We have two daughters, two grandsons, and a great-grandson who'll be here before the end of the month (if all goes as predicted), and then I'll have to change my screen name.

My hobbies since retirement are creating miniatures and building dollhouses (adult kind, not for little fingers), and reading.
I also continue with genealogy research projects and translating old French-Canadian documents for those projects, something I've been hooked on for over 40 years.
