Howdy from Texas

I'm timidly diving into the Forum. I've read some of the other introductions, so I'm hoping some veterans will visit me and make me feel less like a newbie. :1thumbup:
Also, too, I became a Mudflats fan last year when looking for information on Sarah Palin. (I love to say "also, too" and read others saying it. It is our little secret code. )
I live in a very Red area of a very Red state. I feel isolated in an ocean of Red people. I am an attorney/mom. My three sons keep me busy. I read Mudflats all the time, but only comment occasionally. However, I feel like I know alot of people!
During the 2000 election, I read a great book, "Bush's Brain," which is about Karl Rove and his influence over George Bush back when Bush was governor of Texas. Rove was just hitting his stride with his dirty tricks back then. I was disappointed that people didn't take the time to really find out about Bush/Rove. That same lack of interest in a candidate was shown by the lower 48 when Palin came on the scene. Thankfully, some Alaskans filled us in on Palin.

LisanTx from an ex-Dallasite, who understands being part of a lonely pool of Blue in a sea of Red. I'm so glad you're here and look forward to hearing lots of comments.

LisanTX, welcome to the forum. It is so good to find a place with like minded people conversing on every topic under the sun. Now that's not to say that we always agree on each and every little point, because honestly, what would be the fun in that. It is however addictive when you are the lonely flower in the field of weeds.
So very right on how everyone ignored the Bush/Rove connection and his term as a Governor of Texas. (spent a lot of time on the golf course didn't he, not actually running much of anything)
Anyway, we extend a hearty welcome and hope you enjoy the company.

Welcome LisanTX! You know I understand what it is to be surrounded by a community of Red, living in the heart of Palinland as I do.
