There is a long list of mudpuppies in Washington State. Smiley

Is it time to organise a Washington State mudstock?

Please post your suggestions on dates, times, and locations for a mudstock in this thread.

I had no idea we had enough of us in Washington to hold a mudstock- sounds great- anyone? Western Canadians might want to join in, all PNWesterners?  Cheesy

So . . . how do we do this? I'm in Federal Way, which is about 30 minutes south of Seattle.

I think someone just needs to pick a few dates and places, post them and see how many can show up. We'll never get it together if we start all posting when we are available.

I know, personally, I'm fairly busy from now until after Christmas, but there are a few open days here and there. And then there is the issue of the weather when we get to the winter. Last year it was even awful on the west side.

Yeah, so none of that is very helpful,, I know. Sorry. Undecided

I'm just south of Olympia.   I'm up for a Mudstock, schedule permitting.   Most weekends are usually OK for me.

I'm in Tukwila and am pretty much open to any time, date. I'd love to meet fellow mudpups and chat.  Party!  A party is always fun.

I like the idea.  I Agree I'm in Bellingham area, but would be willing to drive to King county somewhere.

I think there are some Mudpups on the east side as well. But that gets into a problem of finding a place that is reasonably convenient for everyone and really pushes it to the spring or summer months. I remember all the times my daughter drove over the pass to go back to Central in the winter when the weather was snowy and scary.

Do we need to have two different Washington Mudstocks? Or should we try for one that includes the whole state?

And @ 1smartcanerian - Tukwila? Wow! We could actually meet for coffee anytime. It's about a 20 minute drive for me to get to Southcenter Mall.

Pat, see me waving? The Southcenter is pretty close for me too, but easterners will have the tough time going over the pass very soon. Just wait and see what everyone wants do do? I know there are more out there! Zyggy, where are yoooo?  Cheesy

I'm ready to meet up any time.  I live south of Auburn so I-5, I-90, Hwy 167, etc. are all good for me.  Are we thinking about dinner somewhere, or earlier in the day ?  The XXX in Issaquah has great burgers, or the Spaghetti Factory in Tacoma or Seattle.  I just know  I Need Coffee! where ever we go!

There is also a new Spaghetti Factory in Southcenter. Just a thought. There is a Cheesecake Factory also - and many other eateries. Can be pretty crowded for driving however.

We could also meet at the new restaurant at Foster Golf Links which is just off I-5 (about 2 blocks) and just a few more blocks from I-405. Of course, we will need to be sure that the Green River is not flooding that day  Undecided  It is a nice restaurant and is very easy to access from the freeways.

We could meet for mid-afternoon coffee/beverage of choice or dinner. I'm open to any good idea.

This could be lots of fun!

I'm game!   Party!  I would even help organize if someone else wants to step up and help me (I am so busy this time of year).  I'm in the Issaquah/Maple Valley area but can go anywhere within reason.  This could be fun.  PM me if you are interested in setting something up and I will help in getting it going.  I checked the States list and there are a bunch of us mudpups here.

I think I'd like lunch or mid-afternoon better than dinner. I'm not fond of driving very far in the dark, especially now that it's raining.

The only problem with the Spaghetti Factory in Seattle or Tacoma is lack of parking. The one in Southcenter is OK, and I love the Cheesecake Factory. Do any of the places take reservations, or do we just assume we will have to meet up and get our name(s) on the list?

Elizabeth and History Goddess have the longest drives. Any comments on some place like the Cheesecake Factory from you guys?  Where IS the Cheesecake Factory? Seattle or Tukwilla? (they don't let me out much!  Wink ) Depending on the day and time I am up for the drive!    Party!

Seattlefan - I just PM'd you re: offer of help in setting up the Mudstock.

There is a Cheesecake Factory in both Seattle and Tukwila/Southcenter. I can make some calls re: reservations once we have an estimate of how many pups may be able to join us and report back. I'll check with a few restaurants if we decide on Tukwila as a central meeting point.

I'm thinking that a mid-day Saturday might work out best for the most people - day time driving and the time to actually get here. This does not work out so well for the Eastern WA mudpups - maybe we could have a wonderful spring time Mudstock over there - the wine country maybe? I'm up for a roadtrip anytime except when there is snow in the passes.

I look forward to meeting people who share my political persuasions, thus must be wonderful people to know  Two Thumbs Up!

Should we just pick a Saturday between now and Thanksgiving - oh lordie, that is almost here  Blush

If we do that, I will be happy to make phone calls. Can't do much else - just got yelled at by doctor for not keeping my foot over my head/heart enough, so am stuck in my chair with the foot on four pillows, at least equal to my heart. With the new, tighter cast, it behooves me to be good as the foot is swelling and the cast is getting really tight! So I guess I'll be as good as possible for the next bit. Hard to do with new flooring going in and painting going on - but is helpful to be the Lead on the project rather than a worker. Hubby less than thrilled ....

Oct 24 and 31, Nov 7, 14, 21 all before Thanksgiving. If we go to Southcenter, people can also shop if they wish...

I don't know how to insert a table where people could vote on date.....anyone know how? If necessary, we can set up in the new year, I'm open to anything.

I'd also love to just meet for coffee with a day or so notice with anyone who might be in the area.

I'm up to meet just for coffee too, I go to the Southcenter area fairly often. Maybe a coffee meetup to make plans for the mudstock?
