Greetings from the Sonoran Desert Smiley.

Many thanks to our board hosts for initiating the forum.  I've been a regular reader of Mudflats since 8/29 when those of us outsiders were introduced to Moosellini.  I did a quick google of 'What do Alaskans think of Sarah Palin' and was immediately transported to Mudflats...the oasis of sanity during this very frightening time.  I've been an Obama supporter from nearly the beginning (was waivering between Obama and Biden for the primaries).  This is the first campaign I have ever donated money to and the second one since McGovern in '72 that I've actually contributed time to (mailings, phone bank and voter reg...even contemplating a quick hop to NM to aid in that effort)

A little about myself.  I am in the music business as an artist manager working primarily with jazz and classical musicians as well as playing a bit of bass at times myself.   I'm originally from Seattle, grew up in SF and have lived in So. AZ since 1974.   I consider myself just a hair left of center with my politics being more fiscally conservative.  I attend church (a liberal episcopal congregation) faithfully and consider myself pro-life.

Glad to be here amongst those who are committed to seeing real change in Washington!

The basic tool for the manipulation of reality is the manipulation of words. If you can control the meaning of words, you can control the people who must use the words. ~ Philip K. Dick,
