Guiness is the only time when telling someone to "Go to the dark, not to the light." is a good thing!  LOL

Hubby doesn't drink, but I'm part Irish, so I drink for them too (although the only stout in my fridge right now is the local one).

Hubby and sons will wait until after work, but we've some Guinness in the fridge too.  I'll be breaking out the Irish coffee glasses for after dinner this evening too.  daMonkey will have to settle for a Scottish coffee though.  Jokingly accused of being 'too cheap to put in da booze' when I made them for the kids when they were little, sans whiskey.   LOL

Brian can have whichever he wants, but I'd choose the Irish Cream every time.
Never have developed a taste for teh stout nor ales nor beers, though goodness knows my daddy did!   Cheesy
I'm a wine or tequila or rum bird, myself, but teh Irish Cream sets these eyes smiling also, too.

I have to admit I'll be having Baileys on ice this evening. Smiley
Perhaps Brian will join me in toasting one to the Irish!  Cheers!

I think Brian should have both, myself.  Wink

For most of the day, the part of my brain that does its own sweet thing regardless of my wishes has been trying to remember the words of the Guinness jingle of my youth, because Guinness, for me, is always and for ever associated with toucans.  This is the best I could come up with. I'm sure I could google it.  I didn't. It was more fun not to.

I'm not putting this in a quote box because it's more than likely a pale imitation of the original.

Toucans in their nests agree
Guinness is good for you
Try some today and see
What one or toucan do for you  -- I'm pretty sure that last "for you" is wrong, but I like it anyway.   Cheers!

Another most excellent reason to celebrate this day.

28 years ago today, my first born arrived.  It was a lovely warm and sunny morning.  He was the biggest baby in the nursery and apparently the cutest one too as all the nurses went ga-ga over him.   Wink

A good day for an Irish kid to be born.   Cheers!

First, I thought,"Don Julio is too good for Brian", then I remembered two things.

1. Nothing is too good for Brian! and
2. I'm just jealous!

A lovely St. Patricks Day.  Smiley  Brian stopped by and we shared a Baileys.  I went with the coffee flavored and Brian stuck to the original.
