Open Thread – Brian in Puyallup!

Haven’t seen Brian the Moose around much lately. I thought it was the wind and driving rain that had kept him away, but thanks to Mudflatter Jim, I now know that Brian was actually at the Puyallup Fair, in Washington! It’s one of the ten biggest in the nation.

For some reason, he took particular interest in the Photo Salon…

As always, feel free to send in your shots of Brian, wherever he may be…

This is all so simple even dummies can see that nothing could possibly go wrong when you let irresponsible grownups do nasty stuff to pristine environs.

Today was Yom Kippur, and I learned a new take on the day of atonement. It’s the day of
    At
    One
    Ment.
    Isn’t that lovely?

It was bound to happen. Someone, somewhere had to find a way to denigrate the stick figure to felony status and it so happens that person is from Idaho and in jail,no less. I sincerely hope no Alaska stick figures were involved.

  4. Oh, darn. I missed seeing Brian at The Fair last Thursday when we were there. Just a little correction – through this year, it was just called The Fair (before it had some long name that no one used). Next year it will officially be the Washington State Fair. I’m still not sure why they feel like it needs to change, but whatever – we’ll all still say we are going to the fair and everyone will know it’s the one in Puyallup.

And there is a song that goes with it:

    “You can do it at a trot, you can do it at a gallop;
You can do it real slow so your heart don’t palpitate- – –
    Just don’t be late- – –
    Do the Puyallup.”

I looked for a video clip but all the ads this year used something different, which I found disappointing. Usually you get the song with images of cute kids and families and all sorts of animals. Well, we’ll see what they do next year when the name changes.

Anyway, we did the Puyallup this year and had a great time. But I am sorry I missed Brian. I must have been looking at all the quilts when he was looking at the photos. 😉

The Democrats in our town will meet at Democrate Hdgs.Thurs, and walk over to the Court house and vote (absentee). I have elected to wait until I can walk into our 2nd of the 2nd to vote. I love to look into the faces of people I know that are Republican—working on the election board or in line.

mikey’s very own rwnj congressional flake and flat-earther,Steve King and his supporters are crying foul because King’s opponent,Christie Vilsack is being mean to him in debates and political ads. This nutjob bully doesn’t like being bullied by the opposite sex and this is new to him since he has never had a female opponent and he has never debated any challenger before. Get a clue from Brian,King. Brian sizes up challengers without hurling invectives at them and he doesn’t pick on the opposite sex and meets challengers head-on on an honorable battlefield. Unlike rwnj Lord Brian doesn’t have a pack of cowardly coyotes snapping at the heels of the opposition while he waits to take advantage of weaknesses. Brian accomplishes more in one day than you have in ten years sucking the public teat, tool. I am so not voting for gutless weasels.

Sorry, COalmostNative. Can’t send any rain. we’ve not had any for something like 50 days. Well … there was one morning that my windshield got a little damp. Does that count?

    • It’s been so strange to go so long without rain here. Even a cloudy day has seemed welcome. The “rain” that we had only made the dust on my car into a nasty mess. I finally filled up my car so I could was the windows – they were disgusting.

  8. COalmostNative says:

Let me be the first to say that Brian’s not here… But feel free to send some of your lovely rain our way. We’ve had moisture yesterday, and more today- but we have 5″ more to catch up, many reservoirs are less than 1/2 full.

    Happy Hump Day, mudpups!
