Half-Term Governor Palin Speaks on ‘Barrycades’

Half-Term, The Quitter – there are many things that Alaskans call former Governor Sarah Palin. She quit our state for warmer climates but  – the one thing that she just can’t quit is opinion-ating on everything.

As a person that quit government completely, and ‘shutdown’ her own term of office I find it interesting that she has an opinion to share on the government shutdown. But, of course she does. Here’s an excerpt of stupid:

My Call For Civil Disobedience Around The “Barrycades”

It’s beyond shameful to see Barack Obama disrespect and mistreat our World War II veterans so blatantly. Obama’s political stunt to “shut down” their memorial by barricade is to elicit an angry response to generate bad publicity for people the president uses in his continual blame game.

Yes, Federal Parks are closed, and yes “Obama” as in the Parks Services put up barricades – because well, they’re closed. They put up barricades because there is no one watching, cleaning or taking care of them – the ‘barrycades’ are there to protect the park. You know like Obamacare is there to protect America’s health?1236730_10151832583113588_1904259963_n

But I guess all that doesn’t matter to Sarah who has the Alaskan independent spirit… but lives in Arizona.

Palin has figured out – along with a bunch of the other obstructionist Republicans that this will all make good political hay… and as usual they’ve figured out a way to make our veterans the poster children for their fight. Meanwhile these same people shut down the government over healthcare – and thus shut down key services for veterans.

Military.com reports: Daniel Dellinger, national commander of The American Legion, said in a statement released Monday afternoon that “Congress has an obligation to put veterans ahead of politics. The fact that funding for VA benefits could disappear in a month ought to be incentive enough for our elected leaders to achieve a solution, Our federal government must never put veterans in this kind of position. It is imperative that Congress understands The American Legion strongly objects to the cessation of any VA benefits or services that put our country’s veterans and loved ones at risk.”

So Sarah – what’s really important to you? Is your son getting VA benefits currently? Or is he among the ones that you’ve called to the ‘barrycades’ to fight a stupid war that you refuse to pay for.

Likely – Sarah doesn’t get her hands dirty on these things – that’s for others to do.

Let me leave you with a quote from the Palin’s good friend, Senator Ted Cruz talking about those who fought with him during his 21 Hour faux-ibuster.

“I don’t want to miss the opportunity within the limited amount of time is imperative that I do, which is to thank the men and women who have endured this, this Bataan Death March.”

He’s since apologized in a very sincere photo-op that’s up on his youtube page but here’s what Sen Cruz was comparing his day in an air-conditioned room to. From History.com

“The surrendered Filipinos and Americans soon were rounded up by the Japanese and forced to march some 65 miles from Mariveles, on the southern end of the Bataan Peninsula, to San Fernando. The men were divided into groups of approximately 100, and what became known as the Bataan Death March typically took each group around five days to complete. The exact figures are unknown, but it is believed that thousands of troops died because of the brutality of their captors, who starved and beat the marchers, and bayoneted those too weak to walk. Survivors were taken by rail from San Fernando to prisoner-of-war camps, where thousands more died from disease, mistreatment and starvation.

A very good friend of mine’s grandfather turned 91 on Sunday. He survived the Bataan Death March and wrote a book. HIs name is Darrell Stark. Cruz stomped on his experience with his callous remark. These Teabaggers have GOT to go. #VOTE

We can hope when Ted the Cruz implodes she’ll be so close kissing his arse that she’ll go too.

For Snowdrift Snookie so loved the veterans she gave her only begotten Alaska Care package to that lonely, forsaken vet from Cuba,by way of Canada through Texas,Senator Ted “I’m a rill dumb-f@#$er” Cruz. Proof positive that nutjobs only support the wealthy.

Well- she also gave us a visit by you, my friend 🙂
whatzername and Mr Cruz can pound sand but I am happy to see you stop by! Missed you!

Just where is she living nowadays? Where are the younger kids (Is Willow still in school) going to school?
Really, tho, who cares? As long as she doesn’t try for Begich’s seat. Or maybe that would be a good thing, would be intersting to see her and Joe Miller mix it up. But she won’t run, that takes work and that takes organization, which she doesn’t have much inclination to do. Also people would ask to see her tax returns – oops, that would be a deal killer for her.

      It’s “HAIR school”. ;-P

      School? You’re joking, of course.

As for running for office, I hope and pray that doesn’t occur again. I doubt she would get as far this time around as she relies upon her physical appeal rather than her ideas or how well she exemplifies her beliefs. Remember how she was given and KEPT that specially modified tricycle for her youngest child after she gave a talk regarding children with Trisomy 13? Despite being filthy rich – she kept it. She didn’t thank them publicly and urge them to give it to another child, or even do that quietly behind-the-scenes so no one would lose face onstage. SHE KEPT IT.

Not classy – but that is an example of her demonstrating her core beliefs. It’s all about her.

  6. WC appreciates the urge to refute, correct and rebut the ongoing sputterings of Alaska’s Shame. But because The Quitter craves attention, the best possible course of action, the best way to solve the ongoing embarrassment, is to ignore her. To engage in a dialogue, even to mock her, is enabling.

Ignore her, as you would ignore the ravings of a clown.

ole whatzername never misses an opportunity to yap about “our veterans” does she?
its kinda like the obligatory sop thrown to the peasants about a chicken-in-every-pot with a twist.

Now- I gotta say it If my Pop, WWII era submariner, had to get by Ms Bachmann, Mr Gohmert , and the like to see /meet at the memorial he’d have left in disgust.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/02/world-war-ii-memorial-shutdown_n_4030768.html?ref=topbar

Pop taught American civics and history to 8th graders for years. He’d have been unable to bite his tongue hard enough to keep from letting those doofs have it over their games and obscurantic, obfuscatory hustle on the citizens of this country.
And good thing for ole whatzername – Pop passed in January ( I shall miss him every day of the rest of my life ). If he’d heard this horsepunky come out of her mouth I think he would have broken his kept-for-86-years rule to never swear at a woman.

Don’t talk down to the vets, whatzername. And don’t use them to advance your horsepunky.
    Just quit doing it.
You know all about quitting, so just quit .
